INTRODUCTION
Career can be defined as an individual's progress or course through life or a distinct
portion of life. The study will cover the job role as Business Analysts in BBC news. The report
aims to provide a brief knowledge and understanding by demonstrating an awareness of the skills
and experience that is required by a recent graduate to enter a chosen area of graduate
employment. The report will help in understanding the importance of the specific skills that is
essential for the job role. It will support individual in future planning and decisions. The study
will provide information based on self-reflection.

Analysis of the chosen Profession/Industry
I am at the last days of my graduation and going to complete the studies in two or three
months. According to my primary research, jobs in the field of marketing and sales is my passion
that is why is selected business studies to understand and gain theoretical knowledge in this field
(Auer and et. al., 2017). The chosen profession is business analyst and the industry that is
offering is BBC that is very renowned company in UK and all over the world. The role is very
importnact function in every business to run and to make sales.
Changing factors that affect the Job
There are many changing factors that is happening in the organisation such as;
Technological changes
In the emerging world with technological advancement, organisation also bring the
change in their day to day operations for effectively work and stay top in the market. In BBC and
the position regarding business analyst, this change make impact and now organisation change
their requirement and need the knowledgable person in the job role (Bessen, 2018). With this
change the way of conducting interview is also changing. For this change the required
knowledge and skills are; technical skills, Information technological skills, artificial intelligence
skills, learn to analyse data and business through various software, etc.

The communication channel is also affected and changing by the technological
advancement in the organisation with the trend and requirement (Bessen, 2016). BBC change
their traditional communication channel with many new technologies as well as the company
expand their business in many new countries that make it necessary to change their channel.
According to this change I need to learn new languages of various countries and various
technologies. I am good in speaking skills verbally but I need to take training of proper written
communication that is a requirement of the job profile. Apart from that, I need to take training
for more advance speaking skills that is required for communicating with clients (Brumberger
and Lauer, 2015).
Change in leadership style
Every employee need a leadership quality to achieve the goal as well as it help them in
working as a team and leading the team effectively. With globalisation, the organisation face
many situations externally and internally. That is why, organisation make changes in their
leadership style that work as per the situation (De Vos and Cambré, 2017). It does not make any
impact as I had studied many leadership styles and during my internship period I learnt and
applied this practically. I can say that this is going to be my strength in the company and I am
able to utilise this skill appropriately.
Cultural changes
With globalisation culture of the company is changing tat is required to understand by
any new applicant before applying to the role (Gati and Levin, 2015). Cultural changes may be
negative or positive that the organisation expect from their existing employer, management and
new employee to understand and work accordingly that make pressure on new applicants or who
think to apply for the job role. Cultural changes may be implement from various minds, language
differences, etc. The cultural changes adopt these factors accordingly and work along with it the
aim of the change to build an effective working environment that is not can be possible with one
person all the members have to work on it as a team or group (Pató, 2015). For this individual
require to have proper time management skills, communication skills, management skills, etc.
Impact of globalisation and technology
For instance, Technologies are changing with new tools and techniques in the company
such as; using artificial intelligence and information technology in the organisation, utilising

various software and new techniques that is required for day to day operations and competing the
market effectively (Piva and Vivarelli, 2018). Globalisation make impact on the communication
channel and that is required for the applicant to being advance with these changes that make
impact on organisation. Globalisation changes the style of operating and working pattern of the
company because of the consumer preference and their demand. Technology makes the
organisation advance and full with knowledge and skills.

and a way for future growth and success. Apart from that, there are many reasons that attract me
towards the job advert such as; salary package, other benefits and allowances. I am not so
interested in the field of news and media but I am looking forward to gain much more knowledge
from the organisation. In between of my graduation I decided to do job rather than any business
that is the reason it relates to my potential choice of profession (Bessen 2016). Although I don't
have all the skills that are required in the profile but I am sure that I will prepare and will apply
for this job. In the last stage of my graduation I go through many more job opportunities but the
reason that I selected this company because various issues regarding salary, environment,
growth, etc. so I selected to go with this job role. Also, one of the main reason for attracting and
selecting this job role is because it is emerging company as well as the role that is future proofed
(Quinlan and et. al., 2019).

From the above study it has been evaluated that students need to identify their desire
vacancy and they need to make sure that they have appropriate skills and knowledge. Job
advertisement is published by the organisation on their website or in newspaper from which
students can see and get to know about the vacancies. In the job description, organisation specify
the requirement according to the job role from which individual can address that they fit best or
not and then can apply. Student need to advance with the changing technology to being on the
