Subject: Complaint regarding receipt of wrong and damaged set of books.
Dear Sir/Madam,
On February 21, 2020 I ordered a set of books that contained a complete collection of the works
of Agatha Christie. The order number was 09111352AC and it was set to be delivered in
Washington at the address that I already provided in your online website.
To my dismay, I have received a wrong set of books instead of what I ordered. I have received
the complete collection of Sherlock Holmes instead of Agatha Christie. Moreover, it must also
be noted that the set of books that I received was not in good condition. They were torn and
damaged around the edges. I am concerned as a consumer after seeing the condition of the books
and I am worried about the condition of my books that I am yet to be received.
I am a student of literature and I have a paper to write on the works of Agatha Christie; hence
time is a factor for me since I have to read all the books and then continue working on my paper.
Your book house is one of the most reputed book houses in Canada and is very cost effective. I
received a lot of recommendation heeding which I decided to purchase the books from your
online store. The delivery was made way before the time that was provided to me as an

estimation; my order my dispatched and I received my order within a week. However, I think
there was an honest mistake regarding the order ID and there might have been a
misunderstanding while dispatching the order. Not only have I received the wrong set of books,
but the books are in no condition to read.
As evidence I am enclosing a print of the invoice that I received in my phone at the time of
confirming my order and also a copy of invoice that was attached with the parcel that was
delivered to me. The invoice will show the mistake that has been made regarding the delivery
and thus you will know that I am nowhere at fault and I am expecting that I will receive the right
set of books within the estimated delivery time that was allotted to me. I sincerely believe in the
authenticity of ethics that your book house abides by and I hope that my position is considered
regarding this misunderstanding that was attempted regarding the delivery. Also I would like to
request you to share me my concern about the condition of the books that is yet to be delivered to
me; my academic achievements depends on the books and I hope that I will receive the set of
books that I ordered in a decent condition.
I will be highly obliged and grateful if my concern is taken into account by your well-
renowned Book House and I will receive my order correctly this time.
