This report focuses on how the computer forensic cases can reduce the
issues of cyber crimes. The law enforcement faces a problem while dealing with the
crimes linked to computers. This is because the crimes related to computer crimes
are without violation of any formal law. The intention of the report highlights the
situations while obtaining the evidence from a crime related to computer. If the
investigation gathers all the physical evidence including documentation, notepads
and computer it will be helpful in decreasing the crimes. The computer forensics and
crime investigation evolve in the sciences that are affected by plenty of external
factors consisting of legal and social issues. The practitioners dealing with computer
security must be made aware of the legal and technological issues that has an effect
on the users and the systems (Moore, 2014). The report further emphasizes on the
fact that if any particular suite is purchased by the local law enforcement agency it
will be beneficial for investigating the computer forensic cases. This is because the
law will help in fighting the cyber crimes and ensure that such crimes does not re-
occur. The purpose of the local law enforcement agency is to check the rate of
crimes that are related to the computer and other products that are also related to
the computer (Holt et al., 2015). Presently, cyber crime is the new critical issue that
is being looked after since it has been increasing. The government of United States
had cut out a chief role for enforcing the law in a federal level. This report reminds
every individual that investigating the computer forensics cases and the activities of
cyber crimes is essential for the local law enforcement agency. The local law
agencies does not have any such developed plans and jurisdictional authority to look
after such a situation. Since the crimes are changing, the policies governing them
must also alter. The crime rate in the United States overall have increased. The

State and the local governments should identify that the crime-fighting successes for
the past fifty years. Therefore, from the beginning it laid emphasis on how the police
chiefs and the other existing experts recognize the best approaches (Kerr, 2018).
The local police agencies should recognize the roles for themselves. The elected
officials must enlarge their resources for fighting the cybercrimes that take have
been taking place. The existing laws and jurisdiction must also look after the cyber
crimes that have been taking place in United States (Hess et al., 2016). It is
worthwhile to refer here that with the help of local and state laws the crimes can be
decreased in the country of United States. Lastly, the report is commissioned to
examine that there have been a few agencies that were created with the computer
science departments for keeping a check on the cyber crimes and policing. However,
the secret service of the United States has trained more than 3,000 local and state
officials for in the cybercrime forensics.
