TASKS
The purpose of business
A business refers to an activity to which helps an individual or a number of people to
make money. The money or profits are made by producing or selling and buying of products and
services. The main purpose of a business is to achieve profits and make its business owners
achieve growth and success. It is important the business is being operated as per the set desires
and objectives of its owners. Otherwise, it can make the business and its owners suffer from the
issues of profitability and lack of growth (Nijhof, Schaveling and Zalesky, 2019).
Besides from earning profit and achieving required growth other objectives or purposes
of a business includes fulfilling its customers needs and demands. A business fulfils its
customers needs and demands by understanding them and taking regular feedback from them.
This in turn helps the business to achieve it main objective which to earn profits. A business if
successfully managed can make the organisation create an impact in the economy which it is
operating and widen its operations on a large scale.
Mostly businesses serve the only purpose of earning large profits yet there are some
business which operates on public welfare and their safety and security. The businesses are
generally governed and owned by the government of a nation. They operate freely in order to
provide best of the services to their customers and achieve proper growth and welfare. The
fulfilment of their purpose ensures public welfare and their development as well (Galina, and
Nikita, 2019). As seen above, different businesses have different purpose but the main purpose
of most of the businesses is to keep earning profits.
Artificial Intelligence
Artificial Intelligence refers to the intelligence which is created by humans in forms of
robots, machines, other technological equipments etc. This intelligence today is widely used by
factories and companies in order to produce goods fast and efficiently. Artificial Intelligence is

also one of the major concerns of today's generations as it has reduced a variety of jobs in
western countries (Welsh, 2019). Also, it has made the people worried about it take over in the
future where people will be suffering from unemployment concerns because of the availability of
robots at workplaces. The rise of Artificial intelligence is both good and bad for the future
generations. Its advantage includes low error rate as compared to humans, it would not be
affected by hostile environments, also, it can replace humans in tedious, repetitive tasks in a
variety of laborious places of work. Its disadvantages include it being expensive and costly, also,
it is ethically or morally questionable to have human like, android robots or to recreate
intelligence which is a gift of nature and should not be recreated. These are the few challenges
that the world might face when there will be a rise in Artificial Intelligence. Also, the storage of
artificial intelligence is very expansive and retrieval and access might not lead to connections in
memory which human can. Artificial Intelligence is both good and bad for the new world. It is
important to be careful while creating Artificial Intelligence as any of the misled actions can
make the people or the world suffer (Singhal, Gupta and Sinha, 2019).
Global Identity
The global citizenship or global identity refers to anyone who identifies themselves as a
member of global community. The belief in this idea is that the human race need to have a single
identify which should be apolitical and should go beyond geographical and cultural differences.
The globalisation has made more people to believe in this idea, yet it does not change how
governments recognizes its people. People identifying themselves as global citizens are going to
have global passports. The idea of global citizenship can be both good and bad for the people of
the world. This is going to make it easy for the people to travel, spend, buy and sell from one
place, nation, or continent easily. It is one of the effective movements which can make things
easy for the people and can bring cultures, national identities, lifestyles together (Klein and
Wikan, 2019).
The global citizenship might bring the different nations, countries and continents closer
but it can impact the nations which are threat to the world. For Example, Iran and North Korea
which are infamous for their Nuclear deals and Tests can suffer and the people of these nations
would not allow to be a part of global citizenship. The political differences and unrighteous
activities done by some nations can make the entire concept unsuccessful. It is one of the major
disadvantage of global citizenship and might be one of the biggest reason to bring it into action

with cooperation. The idea of global citizenship can make the world a better place and would
lead towards better relations between different nations (Bosio and Torres, 2019).
The value of life
The value of life refers to an economic value which is used to quantify such benefits in
which fatalities could be avoided. The value of an individual's life is in the hands of an
individual but in the hands of the government of the country in which he is living as well.
The laws on value of life in United Kingdom includes Abortion Act, 1967. The law is an
act of parliament in which abortion is legalised on certain grounds by registered practitioners and
tax paid provisions of such practices of medical from National Health Service. The Murder or
Abolition of Death Penalty Act, 1965 states that there should be no death penalty to the one who
has committed murder or such crime (Holloway, Orr, and Clark-Wilson, 2019). Assisted dying
law The Mental Capacity Act, 2005 provides a legal framework for the people which are unable
to live and it is hard for them to do so. It allows the people to die as per their choice.
The above mentioned laws of United Kingdom are a brief example of the value of life in
the country. The abortion act, 1967 explains that abortions are allowed on certain grounds for the
people of the United Kingdom. It can be seen as the law does not allow abortion to run freely
instead of it they allow it on certain grounds which is good. In comparison to Abortion act, the
abolition of death penalty needs to be considered by the government of the country again. As it is
not safe to leave the murderers out again after their trail times. At last, the law of assisted dying
needs to eliminated as it can make more and more people lead towards death (Kaewunruen and
Rungskunroch, 2019).
CONCLUSION
In the above report the contemporary themes are identified which includes global
identity, the purpose of business, the value of life and artificial intelligence. From the done
evaluations, it can be seen as Artificial intelligence is not good for the future as it can cause more
harm to the human race. Also, assisted dying needs to be banned by the government of United
Kingdom.
