Abstract
The report is based on contemporary leadership and the ways it has affected the
working of an organization. The leaders are an influential part of the organization. The
traditional leadership is quite different from the contemporary leadership. It is the
development of oneself and set plans for the coming five years. For the identification of the
communication gap, I have taken several courses like professional development. The study is
based on the ways a leader influences the follower and achieve the goals of the organization.
To achieve the goals of the organization, the regular productive working of the followers is
essential. The leader helps in the identification of the problems faced by the followers and

Introduction
The social enterprise is developing over time. There is a large number of competitors
in the market and to compete with the competition it is important to develop leadership plans
and strategies for establishing a strong business. The effective using of the skills for the
successful running of the individual entrepreneur and implementation of them in the right
place and time makes a strong organization (Leitch and Volery 2017). To achieve success in
entrepreneurship there is a requirement of identifying the areas of competencies. I have
completed around fourteen to fifteen personalities as well as solved several multiple
questionnaires that were based on skills and leadership style. I have appeared in these tests
during my courses. I am also blessed with the ability to identify my emotions, can self-
motivated and can set goals. However, I need to adapt to social skills and should be more
social (Clinton 2018). I must also propagate creativity, must be open to criticism as this is a
strong quality a leader must-have.
Discussion
Future leadership plans
It is very important that there must be plans for the future. Aims and objectives are
very essential for the success of leadership. Thus, I have various plans for the enterprise and
want to be an aspiring founder and leader. My development plan [refer to appendix], where
my five-year leadership plans are mentioned are progressing towards general management. I
have also been in the social service sector as a chief operating officer. To build an established
entrepreneur leader it is important to build a team. The most important aspect to be the leader
is to create a team with potential (Komives 2016). After the creation of the team, the team
members must also know my vision. To run the task appropriately the goals and objectives
must also be acknowledged by the team members. The growth must also be tracked for the

better assistance of the team (Mengel 2017). Failures and success should be taken into a note
to not repeat the mistakes and follow the reasons for success.
To ensure the leadership plan is successful there must be an analysis of the working of
the organization. Short-term goals and objectives must be set for bigger achievements. The
leader must ensure every team member is efficient and productive. There must be a regular
check on the working of the team members. In case of any issues in the working of the
members of the team, the leader must find out the reason and try to resolve the issue (Storey
2016). The leader must also motivate the members. For achieving the targets and the objects
set, the working of the team, as well as the leader, is necessary.
Analyzing of the emerging theoretical views
The early leadership theories are trait theories of behavioral theories. These mainly
focused on the traits and the characteristics of the leaders in spite of the situations. To be a
successful leader, there is a requirement to be updated with the time and to identify the
competitions (Zhang 2016). Thus, it is important to be a motivating leader and get updated
with the advancement of society. Various emerging theoretical views are been introduced in
modern days. The contingency or situational theory is based on the aspect of how a leader
handles a particular situation that may be good or bad or any risky situation. It is assumed
that the appropriate behavior of the leader changes from one situation to another (Northouse
2018). The way a leader is seen by the follower is charismatic leadership. To achieve the
objectives of the organization, there is a link between the organization and its members, this
is known as transactional leadership. The transformational leadership is a leadership
wherein the leader can inspire the follower to achieve goals and objectives (Ghasabeh,
Soosay and Reaiche 2015). Various other emerging theories are there that are influential.

Some countries discriminate based on gender. There are countries with a very small
number of women as ahead of the organization. From a survey held in 2010, it is found that
only 43.4% of the women above the age of 25 are educated (Barsoum 2019). It shows that the
ratio is very low compared to other countries. Thus, the ratio of women head in organizations
like AMC Airlines, Cook Door do have their heads. There must be diversity in the workplace
and this can be achieved by the mixing of human resources and other activities. The gender
disparity leads to hampering cultural leadership (Ghasabeh, Soosay and Reaiche 2015). For
gender, diversity there must be policies introduced to motivate a number of women
employees.
Evaluate current leadership development trends
The current leadership is completely different from the traditional leadership. The current
leadership believes in the helping and growth of the followers rather than dominating the
followers. In the management of the tasks and the proper handling and motivation of
employees, leadership development is very important. It aims in the productive and healthy
working of the employees. It is crucial to develop self-motivational activities and self-
awareness in order. In the words of Atmojo (2015), leaders should develop emotional
intelligence to acquire intrapersonal abilities to have a positive outlook such as influencing
the ability to the followers, empathy on the workplace, mentor or coaching. Emotional
intelligence plays a vital role in the development of leadership. It helps in managing stress,
have an impact on job performance as well as in managing the relationship at the workplace.
Thus, several researchers focus on emotional intelligence as an important part of leadership
development (Chen and Rybak 2017).
To have a friendly environment and to make the team comfortable, emotional intelligence is
a part of my leadership. Active listening and collaborative capabilities are also some of the
aspects that I have incorporated into my working. It is important to understand the problem of

the employees and provide them with coaching and mentoring for better working and
resolving their issues. With the incorporation of personalized leadership stories, there are
high chances of motivating the followers’ moral perceptions. It is important to be open to
feedback and work on those feedbacks to achieve success. Thus, it can be said that with the
emotional intelligence and changes in personal behavior, the leaders can easily develop and
motivate the followers. However, a leader must keep in mind that being very flexible and
friendly may hamper the working process and the followers may not take the leader seriously,
so it is important to be empathetic and not sympathetic.
Recommendation
Leaders are the pillars of an organization. In my opinion, the leaders must develop a healthy
relationship with the employees to achieve the goals easily and to help the followers in their
problems. Moreover, developing a healthy relationship with followers helps them in bridging
the communication gap. The leader must be calm in every situation and should know to deal
with different types of people. Professional development training helps in solving several
issues related to communication. In the initial stage, I was having issues in communication
and decided to take professional development training that has helped me in molding my
communication skills. Apart from that, I also had an issue of short temper but being a leader
with short temper will ruin the task in spite of developing relationship bonds with the leader
and the follower, thus I started to meditate, which helped me a lot extent to be calm and
handle situations. Even there must be occasional meetings and regular checks on the plans
and how far the objectives are achieved. In the later stage, arranging occasional meetings
helped in developing plans. This not only helped me in strategizing the plans but also I had a
clear concept of the working of the team. The coach, who trains the employees in case of any
issue has been helping me in various ways. My family was also very supportive from the
beginning of my career and always motivates me to achieving bigger goals.

Conclusion
Therefore, it can be concluded that in the social enterprise transformational leadership
is an important aspect. The leadership quality can be best judged on the decisions that are
taken based on the situation. In an organization, leadership is a must for the proper running of
the task and the management of the followers. To maintain a healthy relationship with the
followers it is important to develop a mutual understanding among the employees and the
leader. Leadership style also has an impact on the cultural diversity of the organization. It
influences the moral behavior of the employees, job satisfaction, and performance. The
leadership development plan must be based on the learning process in an organization.
Feedbacks should be given and taken; there must be a regular check on the working of the
organization.
