1) What the advantages of globalization?
As per the thoughts of Bahl, (2017), the word globalization has consistently connected the entire
world into a single nation and empowers every person in the world to be a global citizen. As per
the definition, globalization refers to the interconnection of the countries and nations for the
meeting of both internal and external needs characterized by business needs, transportation
system, interexchange of labor and so on. Globalization offers a number of advantages to the
world such as:
 Globalization has broadened the minds of the individuals by promoting the cross-border
exchange of goods and services.
 It helps the world to fight against the massive social issues such as education, poverty,
unemployment etc. and provides a deep understanding of the facts and things.
 Globalization results in the improvement of the international relations and ensures friendliness
environment among the countries (Bahl , 2017).

2) What are the disadvantages of globalization?
According to Surugiua and Surugiu, (2015), in addition to the worldwide benefits, there is a
number of disadvantages affiliated with globalization which also needs to be considered:
 Globalizations tend to increase the gap between rich and poor that makes the rich richer and poor
poorer which is not a sign of the healthy growth and development of the world as a whole.
 The natural resources are exploited beyond the limit due to globalization that leads to the
degradation of the natural resources to a great extent.
 There is no doubt in the fact that globalization has connected the nations worldwide but it is also
clear that economic downturn of one nation will also lead the other nations to follow (Surugiua
and Surugiu, 2015).

3) “CSR is effective at improving the world”.
In the words of Newnam, (2013), corporate social responsibility (CSR) has fulfilled many roles
and functions for the improvement of the society and world over many years by improving the
workplaces, enhances the awareness of social issues, promoting the green environment and many
more. The scope of CSR differs from region to region, country to country but the common
purpose of CSR around the world is the promotion of sustainable development. It promotes the
full development and execution of the government and business corporation's agreements,
initiatives and continuous improvement programs for the sustainable development of all the
counties. CSR is not only an orientation but also a social entity that demands more obligations
and imperatives for the maximum welfare and development of the society. By following the CSR
practices, it is not difficult to achieve sustainable development for the countries around the world
(Newnam, 2013).

4) “CSR is ineffective at improving the world”.
According to the words of Rangan, et. al. (2015), no initiative and programs can achieve if not
properly followed and implemented. This is the issue with the corporate social responsibility that
leads to its inadequacy in improving the world. It is found that a number of business
organizations and corporations overlook CSR in their business practices in order to maximize the
profits and limits the expenses. At some organizations, the CSR programs are often hampered by
poor coordination and lack of logic connecting that affects the board vision of the companies of
implementing the CSR programs. It can be controlled by imposing penalties on the offending
companies by the government but there are no such practices implemented by the governments.
There is need of more reliable indicators for the progress of CSR and its consistent growth in the
economy (Rangan, et. al., 2015).

5) What are the negative effects of high levels of immigration on the UK?
As per the views of Pettinger, (2017), UK has been a multicultural society with migrants from a
number of countries around the world. Due to the increasing number of immigration, the host
country has faced a number of negative implications that result in hampering the structure of the
UK economy. There has been an increment in the cost of the services like health care and
education that puts a financial burden on the local citizens in the UK. Overcrowding is also one
such issue with increasing immigration in the UK that leads to the disagreements between the
people from different religions and cultures. Also, overcrowding increase the number of social
issues in the UK that leads to the falling living standards of the people. In addition to these
issues, increasing population has also brought congestion and urban pollution (Pettinger, 2017).

6) What solutions are there to immigration-related problems in the UK?
In the words of Anderson, (2014), increasing immigration is a deeply discussed issue in the UK
which needs to be fairly managed. Balanced immigration is an effective solution which is fair
and good for all and also helpful in securing public consent. Balanced or limiting immigration
will help the host country to control the level of migration up to a great extent. One more
solution to the complex and diplomatic immigration problem is the enhancement of the border
security that helps the country in getting rid of the illegal immigrants. When it comes to the
consent of the citizens regarding the issue of immigration, there is a number of ways to address
the problem such as guarantee high wages, improvement in education and welfare programs for
the citizens, minimization of the costs and expenses and improvement of the public services
(Anderson, 2014).

7) “Assisted dying should be made legal in the UK”.
As per the thoughts of Oomer, (2013), assisted dying is a situation when a dying person has the
right to control his death if the pain is unbearable for them. It is illegal in the UK but it is found
that a vast majority of people in the UK demands to change the law regarding assisted dying for
the people who are terminally ill, mentally incompetent and people with multiple disabilities.
Approximately 80% of the UK citizens support the choice of assisted dying for mentally ill
people, 86% people with disability supports the demand of bringing change to the law. Even
79% of the religious people favor the law of assisted dying. On the basis of the perceptions and
opinions of the people in the UK, assisted dying should be made legal in the UK (Oomer, 2013).

8) “Assisted dying should remain illegal in the UK”.
As per the report by Campaign for dignity in dying, (2018), assisted dying is not legal in the UK
and discussion has been rolled on regarding a change to the law since the last years. Assisted
dying is an immoral exercise that looks like a crime committed by the doctors, as per the
opinions and perceptions of doctors and health practitioners in the UK. Also, there are other
factors that should be respected while practicing the exercise of assisted dying such as the
reaction of the loved ones, the legality of the issues and moral principles. Sometimes a person
may commit assisted dying without consulting to his loved ones or families which left the
families in a shock for a period of time. No matter what is the condition, there should always be
a no for assisted dying in the UK as the practice if allowed lead the world with no feelings,
religions and emotions (Campaign for dignity in dying, 2018).
