TASK 4
P7 Reflection on the value of undertaking the research
I found during the course of my study that over the past few decades CSR, and its effect
on Charlotte Street Hotel's success has been under constant debate and criticism. Some people
consider CSR is just a waste of resources but some people think it as an opportunity to become
more successful and it also supports to gain financial improvements by strengthening
organisation's social responsibility. After completing my study, I found that CSR is an important
factor to achieve successful performance within organisation and it is same as gaining financial
success. In business, we should bear in our mind that we have a lot of responsibilities to perform
not just inside the organisation but also outside the organisation. our community and society
where our organisation belongs. Every organisation profit making or not but it should contribute
whatever it can to the society and community for its betterment and growth.
While conducting the report I have improved my knowledge, skills and attitude (KSA)
towards the corporate social responsibility. This investigation has enhanced my communication
skills to a great extent. With the help of this, I become able to make coordination with
respondents those who have helped in getting in-depth information about the CSR. In addition,
my technical skills also get improved significantly. This report was qualitative thus I was unable
to add some facts and statistical figures into it. That is why I have not learned about SPSS and
other statistical software. I have also learned how to schedule my work and time in order to
complete my work on time. This research has significantly improved my Critical thinking skills.
I have also developed my intellectual thinking while conducting this research. Apart from these
skills I have also learned about Gantt charts and their practical implications. I have also
developed my data interpretation and analysis skills while conducting my research. I have also
learned how to prepared questionnaire for my primary research. I have also learned the process
of sampling of data and the difference between the primary and secondary data and the
procedure through which both can be gathered.
Though the study was completely qualitative and not quantitative, so we have not
used any analytical tools in this research. My research experience has allowed me to learn more
than I was able to in regular coursework, by giving me hands-on experience in designing the
experiments, and simply learning and figuring things out as I went along. It has also stretched me
