in improving the standard of living of their employees and of their families by providing certain

benefits. It improves the goodwill of the company and gain trust of the stakeholders. The
objectives of TESCO are as follows:
ď‚· Measuring the extent to which CSR will help gaining sustainability.

objectives are and it should not deviate( Eckerson, 2010.). Here in reference to TESCO, its the
wastage of food in their pantry.
Measurable : The management should know the amount of food being wasted as it will help
them to make plans for reducing that wastage. It must be measured and known to the
management.
Appropriate: the goals that is to be set by the management must be relevant and appropriate as
it is to be resolved in the following plan.
Realistic: the plan that is made for the implementation is should be realistic and not idealistic.
Only that plan must be made which is attainable.
Timely: the time to complete the project is very essential in the projects as if the project is
delayed it losses its value.
P2 A project management plan covering various aspects covering risk, resources, cost, time,

P3 Work break down structure and Gantt chart for producing time frames and stages for
completion.
For completing the implementation of CSR on time it requires proper monitoring and
control of the activities going on in the plan. For this there are tools like work break down
structures and Gantt chart which provide a check on the activities. The work breakdown structure
divides the work into smaller organised and systematic tasks that are to be achieved within

whole work has been organised systematically. And the questionnaire is prepared as part of
descriptive study.
ď‚· Research Philosophy: reliable philosophies are carried out for showcasing the beliefs of
the researchers. In research philosophy there are four types viz., positivism, realism,
pragmatism and interpretivism . It deals with the nature, source and development of
knowledge. It makes aware of the assumptions and beliefs of the research. For the CSR
implementation , interpretivism is used .
ď‚· Data Collection : for the collection of data there are two sources available and they are
primary source and secondary source. While collecting data for TESCO for its
implementation of CSR , primary data is collected in which the information is first hand
and it has never been used by any other person. Whereas secondary source of information
is available from the other parties or through internet, websites, journals newsletters etc.
ď‚· Data Analysis: the thematical, mathematical, and statistical tools are used to analyse the
data and the process involves inspecting, cleansing, transforming and modelling data. Te
researchers modifies the raw data and analysed into a meaningful information.
Where there are advantages(Sparrow 2012), there are drawbacks also. The drawbacks of
research are that its very time consuming and these have to be done with proper calculations. Lot
of manpower is required ion this. Its very difficult to maintain the quality and accuracy of
research.

ď‚· Data Analysis: the thematical, mathematical, and statistical tools are used to analyse the
data and the process involves inspecting, cleansing, transforming and modelling data. Te
researchers modifies the raw data and analysed into a meaningful information.
Where there are advantages(Sparrow 2012), there are drawbacks also. The drawbacks of
research are that its very time consuming and these have to be done with proper calculations. Lot
of manpower is required ion this. Its very difficult to maintain the quality and accuracy of
research.

responsibility
As per the above research it is has been assessed by the researchers that CSR has a major
impact in the business of TESCO as by analysing the questionnaire it has been observed that the
stakeholders opinion about the CSR is positive and they are in favour of the policy. With that
they can attain sustainable development. The stakeholders do think that implementing CSR will
help in improving its reputation and the problem of wasting of food will be solved. It is
recommended that the budgets for the implication should be appropriate and there should be a
separate team in human resources that will be handling the CSR policies. They should do all the
legal proceeding that is required in its implementation(Trevino K.L. And Nelson 2010). And it

Strategic Definition: first of all , the role and meaning of corporate social responsibility
must be defined and the importance should be clear. The team that is implementing should be
ready with the resources.
Preparation & Brief: the prior preparation needed for the implementation is to be done
in advance. The brief to CSR and its objective should be given.
Handover & Close : the project is closed after its completion and handover to the
execution part. All the strategies are implemented now.
The points that are needed to keep in mind during the implementation of CSR are:
ď‚· appropriate attention must be given to the plan , as if deviated the plan will suffer.
ď‚· The contribution to the society must be given with their pre-tax profits and it will save
their tax also.
ď‚· All the employees must be encouraged for participating in the activities that elps in
smooth running of the policies.
ď‚· A team should be hired by TESCO for handling the CSR policies.
ď‚· They should update their stakeholders about each and every activity going on under the
CSR .
ď‚· Training should be provided to the employees for the waste management and they should
know how to save food and their wastage(Ward 2016). Resources are scarce in nature
and they must be utilised appropriately.
ď‚· TESCO should promote Eco- friendly techniques, they should reduce the use of paper
and they should go green.
ď‚· Proper techniques should be used so as to reduce pollutions.
ď‚· Employees are the face of the organisation. They themselves should be well versed with
the knowledge as they have to provide information to the concerned parties as suppliers ,
customers,etc.

TASK 4
P7 Reflection on the undertaking value
The above presented report gives an insight to the value of CSR and its impact on the
business environment of TESCO. Corporate social responsibilities has motivate TESCO for
behaving ethically and they are in return attaining sustainability. CSR has improved the lives of

the stakeholders and they are contributing in economic development. The CSR provides the
healthy environment for the employees and benefit the society at large( Ward 2016). The various
tools and techniques has helped them to organise the work systematically and this is done with
the help of work breakdown structure. The Gantt chart has organised the work in time frames
and activity is allotted against time to complete the task. The analysis is done through research
methods like qualitative and quantitative. Here qualitative research has been done and with the
help of questionnaire the opinion of the employees is gathered. There opinion is very important
as they will be the one who are going to do that in practice and they will implement that and with
the word of mouth technique they will market it in the society. In this research I have learned
that how important is CSR and I have felt that it is very important for the company and it has
improved the credibility of TESCO(Velu and Stiles 2013). The companies that have CSR
policies regulated in them gains a special kind of respect in the society. The values that I have
undertaken from this research is that TESCO has taken a wonderful step in their organisation.
The food wastage was becoming a huge problem there and it has been handled under the CSR
issues. The stated objectives of the organisation has been met. The implementation plan has been
achieved with the help of work break down structure and Gantt chart. Although there were some
problems while conducting the research part such as workers that filled up the questionnaire was
not interested and some has filled it with negligence. They do not even look into the
questionnaire and filled it. so it became difficult to reach to the conclusion of the research.
Another problem arises with the finance department, they were restricting in funding the project.
The learning that I got from this report is about the aspects of cost, time , quality and their major
impact on the project. The project plan has made the implementation of CSR systematic and
easier to achieve.
CONCLUSION
As per the above report it has been concluded that project management plan is very essential for
implementation of corporate social responsibilities and it has proven to be the key to timely
completion of plan. The contribution of Gantt chart and work breakdown structure has made the
task achievable. The project plan includes various activities like the requirement of resources,
their allocation, their scarcity, documentation part , implementation part etc. the plan covers the
aspect of costs, time, communication, scope , quality etc. most importantly the contribution of
healthy environment for the employees and benefit the society at large( Ward 2016). The various
