This project presents a comprehensive sustainability plan developed for an education and care service. The plan begins with an analysis of the service's existing environmental sustainability policies and procedures, addressing the philosophy, inconsistencies, and current practices regarding waste, nature, and toxins. The plan emphasizes the involvement of children in implementing sustainable practices and explores ethical considerations, such as supporting local farmers and reducing printing. The project also examines how the service manages change through stakeholder feedback and ideas. Key components include waste management strategies, environmental cleaning protocols, and incorporating children in the observation and cleaning procedures. The plan also covers the importance of stakeholder investment, including financial support and the involvement of children and families, along with action plans for implementation, monitoring, and improvement, focusing on volunteer involvement, recyclable resources, and efficient financial management. The student also identifies areas for improvement, such as increasing volunteer involvement, managing recyclable resources more efficiently, and developing a multitasking team for education, monitoring, and cleaning tasks. The student suggests ways to promote sustainability among other facilities and assess financial aspects more efficiently.

Q1. a) The services policy for sustainability is to maintain the education and care for the children
in a positive way and provide them with proper education about environment maintenance and
the knowledge about the surroundings of them. That is the factor of the environmental cleaning
such as cleaning the classrooms, properly advocating the healthy behaviours of the children of
the system, cleaning the surrounding places of the facility, regular cleaning of the institution and
other factors. The environmental cleaning also refers to the education to the children and the
parents about the proper maintenance of the process of the cleaning of the surrounding for the
better living and sustaining the clean environment for providing better life style to the children.
The sustainability procedure incorporates the application processes for provider and service
approval, setting out the rating scale, the process for the rating and assessment of services against
the National Quality Standard, minimum requirements relating to the operation of education and
care services organised around each of the seven quality areas, staffing arrangements and
qualifications, fees for a range of transactions and jurisdiction-specific provisions. On the basis
of these regulations the waste management, evacuation plan, environmental sustainability by
observing the surrounding cleaning regular basis, security enhancement and approaching
stakeholders to sustain in the financial aspect are the sustainability plans that could be adopted.
Staffing arrangement on the other hand helps in the observation and the cleaning of the
environment and advocating on the children for the sustainability of the environment and helping
the institution in the properly follow the national laws about the environmental maintenance. The
process of the environmental sustainability would be helpful in the reputation development
among the parents and the children education process would be improved.

b) There are no such inconsistent plans found in the sustainability planning for the education and
care services here.
c) The premises cleaning and the environmental management along with the waste management
are the factors of the planning that helps in the waste, nature and toxin management. The factors
of the environmental management refer to the factors of the proper placing and proper amount of
plants and other natural objects in the institution premises. Other than these the waste
management process also needed to be properly maintained for the environmental management.
In order to waste management implementation of dustbins and educating the children to use the
dustbins for dropping the wastes and not throw any waste in the roads or in the institution
premises. Hence, investment in this process also needed to be done and the process of the
education and the effects would be observed closely in order sustain the clean environment. On
the other hand toxin management refers to the factor of the avocation of the surrounding of the
institution whether there is any toxic element in the air or the water of the facility is pure or not
for the health maintenance of the children.
d) The children are involved in the regular observation and cleaning procedure of the
environment. It will help the education process of the children and also help in the factor of the
pro-activeness of the children. The practice of one hour observation of the environment whether
there is any mal function in the system of the waste management and implementation of the
environmental plan. This process will help in the proper training of the student and healthy
practice development for the children in the future life. The evacuation plan also implemented in
regular intervals and the children are trained for the process.

e) The sustainability plan involves the social workers in the process of the environmental
observation and cleaning. This refers to the factor of the man power development for the
environmental sustainability management. On the other hand the factor of the social worker
involvement would be helpful in the cost lessening of the project. Hence, the factor of the social
worker involvement is helpful in multiple aspects. Other than this the social workers would be
able to educate the children about the importance of the environmental sustainability and also
deliver the message of the effectiveness of the management plan to the neighborhood and other
areas which would be helpful in the development of the good will of the institution as well. The
institution also uses some ethical considerations such as the children care over any aspect, using
recyclable objects in different sections to protect the environment from waste and others.
f) The service are well accepted and the feedbacks for the betterment in the plan also given by
the stakeholders about how to cut the cost of things by using more recyclable objects and using
more volunteers to provide better outcome and expensing low amount of money.
Q2. The two aspects where the plan can be improved are the financial sustainability plan by
using hands of more volunteers and using more recyclable objects in the education process. The
involvement of social workers and volunteers would be helpful in the development of man power
for the process on the other hand the manpower would be developed without spending a lump
sum of money in a single sector as the volunteers work in their own interest without any
appraisal that is money. Hence, the factor of the social worker involvement would play a key role
and also they can be able to deliver knowledge about the environmental sustainability to the
children which would also help the environmental management plan for a long term basis.

Q3.a) The goal is lowering the amount of the cost of the plan in terms of the sustainability
improvement. This includes the recyclable object usage and taking from more volunteer.
b) More volunteers would be helpful in the lowering of cost as they work for the environment on
their will and without charging any money and the recyclable objects help in the using those over
and over without wasting them and thus the cost also lowered by these. Lowering the cost of the
environmental management planning would be helpful in the financial stakeholder involvement
as the low cost planning would be helpful in the attraction development of the financers and also
the bigger man power would be helpful in producing a successful plan. The social volunteers
would also be able to provide the proper knowledge about the environmental planning as well.
c) Stakeholder investment is needed as the resource and the pencils, white boards, removable
markers and other things in the education system would be helpful materials in the process.
d) Other than financial investors the children and family members needed to be learned about the
sustainability plan and regular sessions about the importance of the plan should be effective in
implementing the changes. The strategy for these stakeholders involvement would be as follows:
 Providing appraisal that is better care of the children and providing them with better
education would attract the parents.
 Providing attracting gifts to the children would be the factor that raises the interest of the
children in the program.
e) The regular sessions with children would be helpful in the impacting over their brain about the
positivity of the plan would be the aspect in EYLF. The early learning about the environmental

sustainability would help the institution and the children in this process of change
(Education.gov.au, 2019).
f) Action plan would include the regular session with children and their parents about the plan,
approaching the social volunteers, approaching the financial investors, interacting with every
staff of the institution. The action plans would be as following:
 Briefing the children about the program.
 Briefing the parents about the program.
 Stating the appraisal process to the parents.
 Approaching and briefing the local social workers about the program and involving them.
 Approaching the financers about the program and relationship build up with them.
 Help the children by educating them in the environmental management.
 Everyday focus on the planning that is regular avocation of the surrounding of the
institution that local field trips with the children and managing the waste and toxic
elements.
 Planting, arrangement of natural objects and other factors and observing the change of
nature of the children in the context of the environmental sustainability.
Q7. a) After monitoring implementation of the plan it can be stated that the plan needs more
approach to the volunteers. The volunteer involvement in bigger number would be the most
effective factor for the plan to be successful. On the other hand the financial investors should be
properly demonstrated about the plan and the needed investment for the implementation of the
plan should be observed by a team. The most needed factor of the plan is the man power over
anything to observe and monitor. On the basis of this monitoring process the changes of the plan

should be planned and implemented. The children and the family interaction on the other hand
should be made attractive for the participation of the number of people. More the participation
the chances of the success of the plan raises also. The children interaction should be focused for
the early learning process as well. The factor of the environmental sustainability the proper
observation of the premises would play a key role in the implementation of the plan.
b) The recyclable resources should be managed more efficiently in the next attempt of the
sustainability plan implementation. Another factor of the plan implementation in the next attempt
is to develop a multitasking team for the education and the monitoring of the factors are in the
proper place along with the factor of the working on the cleaning process as well. The children
and the family members should also be involved in the tasks of the plan other than learning and
understanding the factors. The sustainability plan should also be promoted for the development
of the environmental sustainability among other facilities as well. The financial aspect should be
assessed more efficiently and on the basis of the assessment the plan should be implemented in
the institution premises. The knowledge about the environment also needed more for the changes
of the environment in an efficient way.
