assignment is based upon the importance of robotics. In the assignment the explanation is
provided on the importance of the robotics in any business and in the social life. The
background of the robotics is also covered in the assignment in which the need of the robotics is
briefly explained. With the changing in time technologies are getting improved every day, also it
is increasing in the demand of the services. Now when the service or products will consume at
large scale than the manufacturer is responsible for further support; in the assignment the
solution of such issues are described when manufacture faces any issue in providing support.
There are many ways by which the technology of robotics can be implemented in any
organization to support the services. Robotics at first was introduced by the automobiles
manufacturer but later on many versions are discovered and now most of the companies are
using this technology to provide support to their customers.
Social Impact of Robotics
Twentieth century was the beginning era of technology; a revolution was introduced in world.
Every industry starts getting implement technologies with their operation in order to survive.
Technology was not limited to laboratories only; it developed its space in homes of common
people as well. The new domains of electronics, telecommunication, automation and
computation were the major forces of driving. In the beginning of 1900’s almost no one was
aware about the telephone but with the beginning of new century mobile phones were in the sight
of everyone and getting used for daily purpose (Bähnemann, Pantic, Popović, Schindler, 2019)

Social Impact of Robotics 3
Now the human community is completely changed and entered in the era of robotics. The term
Robot can be defined that it is a machine which can execute multiple series of task at single time
automatically; these are specially programmed by the computer. Robotics is the branch of
science which deals with the design, manufacturing, application and operation of robots. The
advancement in the technology has introduced the robots from imaginations to our door step.
The human life is combined of problems and the solutions with the increase in the complexity of
problems their solution methods are also changed (Botta, Gallo, and Ventre, 2019).
Robots are the machines which are designed to execute several set of tasks or functions. The
intention for designing the robot was not to reduce human power but these machines were
developed to work as an assistant device, which helps the worker in the production unit
(Carrozza, 2019). Basically robot consists of 3 main parts which are classified as follows:
1. Controller: It is the brain of robot which is run through the computer program. All the
commands are provided to this section of robot.
2. Mechanical Parts: The parts like motor, gripper, wheels and gears which helps robot to
move, grab, turn, lift etc.
3. Sensors: The part thorough which robot gets to know about its surroundings is known as
Sensors. These sensors support robot to identify the size, shape, and spaces, direction of
movement and different characteristics of the substances (Chowdhury, and A Raut,

Robotics in Healthcare (Blog-1)
The use of robots can be seen in almost every sector, in healthcare industry robots are the now
dominant part. Robotics surgery is the technology which is introduced in the health care industry
although this industry is costly comparatively to other surgeries. The surgery which is conducted
with the help of robots is much safer than the open surgery it also produces small scars after the
recovery. The idea to build the surgical robot is also to connect each other with the help of
internet. These robots record the each step of operation procedure and store the data by
combining them. During any complex situation where surgeons face challenges these robots will
help them to take the decision also they will explain the position which is suitable to make cut on
the body. According to the research which was performed in the Max Planck university micro-
sized robots are manufactured which have the ability to swim in body fluids to deliver the drugs
or can provide the other medical relief (Knight, Wright, and DeFreese, 2019). These can also
entitled as micro-bots which are designed to swim by the Non-Newtonian fluids, around the
lymphatic system, across the slipper surface such as eyeballs. Robots can also be used for the
delivering or distribution of medicine simply they are successful in the pharmacy as well because
a robot have the ability of gaining information and process it more accurately also faster
compared to a human. A technology of radiation therapy is introduced which is conducted
through a system which is a robotic system and it is known as Cyberknife. The system is used to
treat the disease of cancer although it is not any kind of knife but it is the source of radiation
which is adjusted on the robot. In radiation therapy the beams are targeted on the cancer cells and
through the energy released by it the cancer cells get destroyed (Madhavan, 2019).

Robotics in Industrial sector (Blog-2)
With the introduction of Robotics many of the industries are able to complete their production on
time and on large scale. The quality of the products is improved as there are very minimum
chances of the wastage and any error which were observed in the manual production many
industries like Health care, Automobile, Agriculture, food production, military etc. are getting
benefit from technology of robotics. In Automobile industries robots are used to paint, or for the
wielding of cars. They easily move the wafers without any damage of any component at the
semiconductor plant. Robots are also used for the assistance in the cutting, grinding and other
regular tasks The manufacturers who are producing the components of the robots are getting
benefits due to development in the automation. For the past few years robotics is rising in the
industrial sector as it was observed between years of 2012- 2017, use of robotics increased by
10% in the operation work of industries (Smith, 2019). More than 2 million industries were
examined where the robots were operating on the factory floors in year of 2017. The robots were
implemented in order to reduce the efforts of labor tasks but slowly it starts taking place of
employee which leads to unemployment with the increase in number of robotics technology. The
two major factors which were reflect in the automobile industry by the use of Robots i.e. the
physical work which was heavy of those area where no one can go or do not want to go and the
quality of the work. It was observed that there was no oppose of implementing robotics in the
industries but the job of the worker was now getting affected. With the increase in
implementation of robotics in industries the manufacturing of robots is also increased over past
30 year’s price of the robots decreased by half if compared with the costs of labor (Seo, Paik, and

Robots in the entertainment industry (Blog-4)
Robotics plays a very dominant and wide role in the manufacturing sector and now the
automation thorough the automation is impacting the entertainment industry. By the help of
Artificial intelligence robotics technology is used to bring the favorite fictional character in real
life. The technology of artificial intelligence is helping the entertainment industry to experience
the unexpected changes in animations. Disney industry is one of the best examples which is
using the artificial intelligence that reduced the gap between the dynamic character which are
acting in their film. Disney has created autonomous, self-correcting which can perform tier work
as stunt doubles; it is also their most favorable attraction from Disney land park. With the help of
the artificial intelligence the scene of the movies are now getting more realistic than before. By
the help of the robots the coordination, precision, efforts and all the movement including the
position of the actor they are totally controlled. Robots are also used to manage the props and
lights which are used during the shooting of movies. Robots can easily handle the objects in
accurately for the camera which are moving in high speed, high-precision or in 360 degree
rotation. They are able to provide the actions which are faster and repetitive shots with the
complete safety rather than a human. The affordable prices of the robots are helping the industry
to get them use in the industry. Robots are effective in saving the space, they are light in weight
also they are designed in the way which is exceptionally flexible due to which they are able to
perform any task. Their programming is not difficult, time which is required to setting them up is
not long they can easily set up with in short time and the program can be reused for the recurrent
task (Sng, Ong, and Lai, 2019). The reason behind rise in the use of robotics in every sector,

director who wants to shoot any film than they had to collect people for the crew who can
perform the works like prepare sets for the shooting, designing the props, to set cameras,
building dolly tracks etc. these were the tasks which were necessarily need to complete before
starting the shootings and later on the producers had to invest money on video editing or other
process of shooting but with the implementation of the robotics most of these works are
completed without any human labor which saves the cost of the investors.
Robots as Therapists (Blog-5)
These recent years technology is transformed in the very diversity form, robots which were once
getting used in the manufacturing industry to design and to produce the machines but now they
are also using in providing therapy to various mental problem. The children who are going
through the situation of Autism they are getting treated by the help of robots. Robots are using in
providing therapy to the children as they are able to get the attention, and increase the
engagement amongst the children. A program is announced which is funded by the National
science foundation in which the research is performed to explore the methods where robots can
help to treat the children with Autism. In this program the robots spend time with the child for a
particular period during that time robots analyze the behavior of child and develop the interaction
between them to understand the ability of the child and behavior goals. The robots which are
providing their support in improving mental health problems they are also known as social robots
and their use is increasing significantly. These robots are also provide their support to the adults
who are suffering from the dementia, as in dementia the memory of the individual get weak with

wastage of the production also reduces because robots use only sufficient amount of resource for
the products (Wang, and Siau, 2019). In the food industry some products are so delicate that they
had to treat or grasp with the gently so by the introduction of the advance technology some
grippers are used in the robots which can pick the products gently and quickly without any
damage. The implementation of the robotics automation provides significantly benefits to food
industry in distinct ways. Some of them are described below:
Picking and placing of fruits and vegetables
Robots can easily sliced the sea foods or beef
For the decoration of the cake and other bakery products
They keep the working environment clean and safe
They are helpful in sorting of the products with efficient methods.

introduced to provide support to the perform the task in which human were facing challenges
like in any industry if it is manufacturing or other there are some places where human can face
harmful effects or might lose life, at those areas robots were getting used but later on with the
change in time robots start getting implement in almost every field in which entertainment,
intelligence, healthcare, information technology, manufacturing etc. are majorly included. The
robots are helping the human community to grow fast and through better methods. The works
which were getting complete in long time they are now completed within very short time period
and without any error. By the robotics not only the productivity of the industries are improved
but also their efficiency is increased. The robots are helpful in order to reduce the cost of the
every operational work(Richter, Orosco, and Yip, 2019).
wastage of the production also reduces because robots use only sufficient amount of resource for
the products (Wang, and Siau, 2019).

Critical review
There are some disadvantages as well with the introduction of the robotics where one side the
use of robots is increased the unemployment in the industries is also increased. The robots are
multitasking and they can perform the task which can complete by more than one labor also their
cost is lower than a labor so by using the robots the production cost of the industry reduces. In
another case the human are getting lazy and their physical, mental strength is reduced. Most of
the work in which humans have to use their brain and muscular power are now getting done with
the help of robots easily. Another major disadvantage of robots are that they can be hacked or
they can be accessed by any individual which become the reason of threat as all the confidential
data or information can be leaked and used by in any kind of unofficial or illegal work. Hence it
should be considered that human should not completely dependent on any technology because
they can be changed or can transform according to user (Yang, Chen, Chen, Tang, and Zhang,
2019).
Conclusion
In the assignment the study is conducted upon the robotics and their application. The brief
discussion is conducted on the importance of the robotics and its introduction. The assignment is
basically based upon the factor that why the robotics was necessary. Further by performing
research of some articles it was observed that due to limitation of human the production of the
company was getting affected. When the robotics get introduced those challenges which were
related to the production and quality get minimized. Robots can work continuously without
making any error with the same speed and with the same quality. Robotics helps the community
and organizations to reduce the time and to maintain the relationship. Organization can execute
