1EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
I have been involved in a quiz that test for emotional intelligence. At the initial period of
time, I was not sure to go for the test. However, I need to check my capabilities for handling the
harsh situation for a better career. It is said that emotional intelligence is the ability to monitor
one's competency and emotions and compare with other people, in order to use the information
to guide our behaviour and thinking (Rundle, 2016). From the result of my quiz test, I was
marked with high emotional intelligence. I strongly agree with the result because I am such a
person who can easily control one’s emotion and work with full efficiency in the unfavourable
environment. From the self-assessment, I got an opportunity to explore about myself and came
to some of the facts to which I was oblivious. I can deliver high performance when working
under high pressure. I have the qualities that make me suitable to handle adverse condition life. I
also learnt that my dedication toward work and goal, where making me lose the real insight of
life. I need to take time from my busy schedule to analyse the greatest meaning of life. I have
also learnt that I need to work on my anxiety, stress and anger as I am not sure whether I could
manage it efficiently or not. This can be a barrier in pursuit of a goal.
From the module, the theoretical concept of self-awareness has given me greater
understanding because it deals with one own's strength and weakness. Self-awareness is defined
as the ability to conceptualise the strength and weakness of one and identify the emotions that
affect the behaviour and thinking ability (Rundle, 2016). The concept has made me realise the
importance of knowing one's strength and weakness in a better future. When we become self-
aware about our shortcoming and emotions, we get the ground to improvise ourselves towards a
better future. Self-awareness will help me to adapt different personalities of person, their
working style, colleagues and head, that I can encounter in my future career. I can easily
acclimatise with my role and responsibilities that will help me for my long run in future.

2EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
I will make use of the self-assessment to improve my professional practice. I will try to
be emotionally strong while working in a hard situation. I will enhance my understanding of
empathy and teamwork skill which can help me to cope in the professional atmosphere. I will
also make use of the of high emotional intelligence in career by beings self-aware. I can use
those learning in developing strong networking to get a better range of opportunity. For my
professional future, I will make use of empathy in finding the right solution for the problem. It
will make me capable of the work with full efficacy in future.
Therefore, from the above discussion, it can be concluded that being emotionally strong
helps the individual to excel in life and career.
