Every day the competition in business environment is found to increase rapidly that
makes pressure on the organisation. That's why they are recruiting highly skilful employees who
possess all important and necessary employability skills. This report will cover important skills
such as critical thinking, managing relationships, emotional intelligence, teamwork, and career
planning.
MAIN BODY
Critical Thinking
Critical thinking skills are defined as the ability to think in a rational and an organized
manner (Memiş and Akkaş, 2020). This will use in order to understand the connections between
facts and ideas. This skill is used in order to take right decision at right place which results in
achievement of goals and objectives. It includes a process such as identifying, analysing and
fixing flaws. This skill is very important for an individual in both educational and organisational
life. A person can use this skill in every situation and then take a right decision. It is found that
this skill is a cornerstone of self improvement and development. It is very useful for a person
when they take a big decision which affects on their life. It is identified that this skill can be
develop with the help of some important strategies such as asking questions, oppose common
sense, read a lot, and aware of bias, etc.
Managing relationships: Managing Up, Down and Across the Organisation
Managing relationships is all about of interpersonal communication skills. It is concerned
with an ability in a person who get the best out of others (Obal and Gao, 2020). It is very
important for an individual to possess managing relationships skills as it requires in every stage
of life whether in personal and professional life. In organisation, an individual needs to
maintaining relationships with every person if they want to stay in workplaces. It requires lots of
patience, intellectual skills, communication skills, etc. In organisation, an individual should
manage their relationship with upper, middle and lower management of a company. It is very
crucial as it assists in accomplishing their task in an effective way. It also helps in managing their
healthy relationships which assists them to reduces conflicts and misunderstanding. This can be

improved with the help of building a culture of listening, set clear expectations, develop shared
value, developing effective communication skills, learn to recognize emotions, etc.
Emotional Intelligence: Developing Your Emotional Intelligence
Emotional intelligence is concerned with the ability which is used by an individual in
order to understand, manage and use own emotions of a person so that they can sue in a positive
way for relieving stress (Serrat, 2017). It is also very helpful in overcome challenges,
communicate effectively, defuse conflict, and empathize with others. It is found that emotional
intelligence is required not only in offices but also at every place so that they can use their
emotions in a positive way. There are many situations comes in personal as well as professional
life where people needs to control on their emotions in order to deal with that situations. This can
be possible only with the assistance of developing emotional intelligence skills. It can be
improved by many ways such as respond instead of reacting, use assertive style in
communication, be motivated, practising self awareness, utilising leadership skills, maintain
positive attitude, etc. These activities helps in developing emotional intelligence skills in an
individual.
Teamwork: Being An Effective Team Member
Teamwork is very important for an organisation as it helps in achieving desired goals and
objectives. Teamwork is the skill which is concerned with the ability of team members in order
to work with together (Marasi, 2019). In organisation, teamwork is very crucial as it required in
order to achieve the set objectives. There are many people who work in the organisation and
that's why it is necessary that they should be able to work together as teamwork increases the
productivity and well as performances of employees. It is found that teamwork assists an
organisation to solve difficult problems. Teamwork inspires and motivates people to work
together in order to achieve a common goals. In organisation, it plays an important role as it
affects on employees' performance as well. So that's why it is necessary to build teamwork skills.
This can be possible with the help of clarifying goals, positive mindset, managing time
efficiently and effectively, exercising together, sharing informations, etc.

Career planning is an important skills which is crucial for individual as well as

to grow in their career but it can be possible only when they are doing career planning. This is
the reason that every individual needs to do a career planning. It is not only necessary for
individuals but also for organisations in order to plan their employees' career. This will assists
them to motivate and inspire employees towards their career growth. It is found that when
organisations do a career planning then it increase the motivation and encouragement of
employees towards organisational goals and objectives as it is found that employees feel that
they are important for company. This skill can be improved with the assistance of searching
more and more career opportunities. Market research is very crucial as individual get to know
more and more options. In addition to this, they get advices from tutor in order to improve career
planning skills.

It can be concluded from the above discussion that it is very important for an employee to
increase their employability skills in order to handle with the upcoming challenges and
