INTRODUCTION
Reflection refers to those framework of the learning which enables the learner to reflect
their personal experience which they have experience at the time of conducting any individual
report or the project (Ayedee and Kumar, 2020). This essay is based on the reflection of
developing effective business plan for the organisation. One of the core advantage of this
reflection is that it helps the learners in their knowledge about the reflection and development of
business plan. Gibbs model of reflection is used here to demonstrate this essay because of their
advance factors and practical existence.
MAIN BODY
Gibbs Model of reflection developed by Graham Gibbs in the year 1988 with an aim to
provide practical existence and structural applicability to reflection writing (Bennett and Gibb,
2022). I discovered that it is one of well-known method of the reflection under which different
types of factors are given which that can be used for reflecting on any topic or the aspect . This
reflection is based on the personal experience in the development of new business. Through
using this Gibb's model I can access my strengths, weaknesses and varied threats as well as
opportunities which help me in describing my writing experience in a precise manner. Being an
entrepreneur, I am willing to grow my enterprise for enhancing profits in a strategic manner. I
am using Gibb's model of reflection for reflecting upon module of Enterprise Development
which is taught by me in coursework 2.
The brief discussion related to different stages of Gibbs reflection are given below:
The first stage of Gibbs reflective cycle is the description of the experience under which
different types of information are included such what is the actual scenario and who were present
at the time of experience (Damani and Ghura, 2021). It is module of enterprise development
which is undertaken by me after gaining knowledge about business plan in coursework 1. The
tutor of mine command us to develop fresh and new business plan for any organisation for the
practise and effective learning. There were also two students are present with me at the time of
project which act as team member for the completion of this project in effective manner. I was
not aware about the education style which is being delivered in module learning seminars.
The second stage of the Gibbs reflective cycle is based on the feeling and thoughts which
learner experienced at the time of project (El Miedany, 2019). It is required to express the feeling

of the learner at the time of situation or at the starting and end of the project. At the time when I
started learning in Enterprise Development module, I felt something nervous and the level of
anxiety becomes increases because of different and new project. As the time goes and the project
becomes familiar, then the situation started to be favourable which helps to built the confidence
in effective manner. I have been given some examples of assessing enterprise development by
my tutors which also make me felt nervous. As I want to come up on their expectations which is
bit nervous situation for me.
Gibbs reflection cycle's third stage is related to evaluation of the situation on the basis of
positive and negative aspect. In this stage of the learning model is based on provide both positive
and negative outcomes of the situation in effective manner (Fathelrahman, 2019). One of the
positive part of this project is that it not helps me to improve my grades in academic aspect but it
also helps me in my professional aspect because it develops number of working skills in my
personality. I had evaluated that I learnt varied things from this enterprise development module
in an effective manner which helps me in enhancing my existing skills.
The forth step in Gibbs model of reflection is analyse of the situation which helps to
established considerable judgement of the situation (Mello and Wattret, 2021). Under this stage
the learner is required to reflects the proper reasons for the positive and negative sides of the
project. At the time when I was doing this project, there are different types of positive experience
I enjoyed such as team work/, belongingness, effective allocation of time and number of working
skills. The main reason behind all these situations is the effectiveness and practicality of the
project. The only negative side of this project is that it is one of most time consuming project
which came along with the fear of late submission. The reason for the delay in situation is that
the scope of business plan is not limited to single aspect but their working area are having
multiple range of learnings. I had analysed that my nervousness helped me in a positive manner
and made me to accomplish my task in an effective manner. I also analysed that by working in a
group has enhanced my team working skills.
The fifth step of Gibbs reflective cycle is depend upon the overall conclusion of the
experience and the project which enables the learners to learn different types of learnings from
them (Naeem and Ozuem, 2021). The overall conclusion of the project which I have found is
that the business plan is one of the most important document of the company which enables right
direction to the employees for their effective and valuable returns. It is important for the

management of the organisation to develop clear and concise business plan for their organisation
so that it can be possible for the employees to meet the goals and objectives. It is concluded from
the project that the development of business plan are developed in such a way to promote the
effectiveness and efficiency of the organisation. It is analysed that business plan not only helpful
for internal parties of the organisation but it also proves to be beneficial for external parties of
the organisation. In conclusion, I will like to delve that I learnt about feasibility study, risk-taking
skills and accounting principles which are considered as important for me to develop my self as
an entrepreneur.
The final stage of this model you plan for what you would do differently in a similar or
related situation in the future. It can also be extremely helpful to think about how you will help
yourself to act differently – such that you don’t only plan what you will do differently, but also
how you will make sure it happens (Schultz, 2022). By concluding the model, I have made an
action plan by segregating my week activities in an effective manner. I will enhance my
communication and team working skills for upgrading my entrepreneurial competencies.
CONCLUSION
It is concluded from this report that business plan enables the organisation to achieve
desirable growth in the market. It is very helpful for the management to analyse the threats and
opportunities due to effective business plan. This report concludes effective application of Gibbs
reflective model.
