INTRODUCTION
Business environment refers to summarizing the internal and external factors which
affect the overall working of the organisation. In respect of matter related to gulf countries, there
are various aspects which is to be identified in respect of determining the methods which is used
in respect of gaining major advantages. Present report is based upon the Qatar which is
considered to be one of the most developed country and also there is lower rates of poverty. As
Qatar is carried to be one of the largest earning economy in respect of dealing in natural gas
reserve and oil reserve (Henderson, 2015). In respect of examining the concepts relating to
business environment, it also reflect the challenges or issues which is faced by the Qatar to bring
sustainability in country. In context of Qatar, the environment issue may be faced in respect of
air, water or land and thus thus also bring critical impact upon the life of human and animal for
long term survival.
ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUE
Environment issue affects gulf country
The issue which is related to environment affects the Qatar in relation to undertaking the
air, water or land pollution. As Qatar is majorly engaged in carrying oil industry and through this
procedure, they are earning high amount of capital. But the impact of this industry reflects the air
pollution. As the gases which is incurred from this industry reflect the whole areas which causes
major diseases and also affects human health and issues (Galanou and Farrag, 2015). Air
pollution in respect of engaging the business of oil industry affects the Qatar in respect of
flowing the harmful gases in environment and also it results in affecting the smooth working of
the country. Qatar is undertaking or dealing in varied ranges of industries such as natural gas, oil,
petrochemicals and many other aspects and thus due to having heavy demand in market, they
increase their production activities on daily bases. Thus, the issue which is analysed in Qatar is
relating to heavy dealing in oil products through which the harmful gases are slotted which
results in causing major damages to environment.
As it is examined that Qatar played the vital role in the Persian gulf war in which they
majorly causes harm to air and land. The land is harmed in respect of damages occurred in
pesticides or also the high rated bomb elements are used which affects the air. In respect of

carrying the strict action against the environment issues, Qatar carry the liberal laws but impose
strict action in respect of violating any of the terms which is against the polices of the Qatar
(Benmamoun &. et.al. 2016). As the rights of taking actions are based on the government of
Qatar which is based or selected on unelected procedure. Usually the political rule is occurred in
respect of hereditary bases. Thus the power of undertaking or imposing any such norms are in
hands of the Municipalitial court in which they protect the right of the citizen in respect of facing
any such environment issues.
Impact on gulf business environment:
As Qatar is considered to be one of the most developed country and also engaged with
large number of population which are engaged in carrying business or employed in any business
activities. In respect of examining the impact of air and water pollution through oil industry, it
interprets that according to the survey, Qatar carries the highest carbon dioxide emission which
resulting in comparing the 55.5 metric tons in context of per person ratio. Due to having faster
changes in environment and also the competition is also arises regarding exporting the business
into different country (Abulibdeh and Zaidan, 2017). In such manner they are increasing the
productivity and capital on examining the energy usages of the country. In engaging the business
into oil industry, various factors are to be undertaken such as electricity usages, air conditioning
facility, raw materials for preparing the products or man power to wok on hazardous places.
The major risk arise due to changes in environment. As in context of social and economic
aspects, the environment results in causing major impact and by this aspects they harm other
factors. Thus, through this aspects, the impact arises in respect of undertaking various norms in
respect of taking care of air and waster. The matter are to be undertaken in respect of using such
gases which not harm environment or also proper inspection is to be allotted by taking care of
the quality of the products. As the impact of oil industry not only results in polluting air but also
affecting the water as the wastages of the raw material or any other substance are dissolved in
water (Rizzo, 2017). In such manner, the impact of the Qatar arises in respect of harming the
person which are undertaking through water or breathing air. The culture of the Qatar is different
from the other countries but are similar with that of Persian gulf countries. In respect of carrying
various norms as every citizen had different perspective of applying the government rules and
also undertaking their procedure in results of providing better productivity. The major impact is
faced by Qatar people in respect of inhaling fresh air. In respect of undertaking the data of past

year, the major issue is focused on the person which are already suffering from health diseases.
They needed natural air and fresh water for getting better results of their treatment. In such
manner if they are facing any issue in getting this facility, it results in causing serious issue for
the whole resident of Qatari people.
Incorporating any business environment model:
In respect of identifying the business environment, it can be undertaken through
conducting the PESTLE and SWOT analysis. So that various aspects are to be undertaken in
respect of applying the business environment model in this present case scenario which is related
to air or water pollution through oil industries (PESTLE Analysis of Qatar, 2016). Thus, by
conducting PESTLE helps in identifying the macro factors which affecting in adapting the new
strategies in country such as:
 Political: In this aspects, the major factors are affecting through carrying no strong
political norms. As their is no democratic system in respect of ruling in Qatar. Through
this aspects it resulting in ruling by the king which is taking in charge of all the country
control and also manages the activity accordingly. In respect of undertaking various in
charge to protect environment, it results in facing the right procedure to convey the usage
in better way.
 Economic: In this aspects, Qatar is one of the most earning sectors in respect of carrying
the large number of oil industries and also exporting their business outside Qatar.
Through this aspects, the factors which are affecting economy is resulting in facing
different ratio of getting profits (Biygautane, Hodge and Gerber, 2018). It is examined
that country is having the growth income of 8,00,000 due to having largest production of
LPG. Thus, fluctuation in economy rate results in restricting company for further growth
expansion.
 Social: In respective of this factors, the impact arises in respect of not getting proper
education and also their is difference in culture values and norms. By not getting proper
training and education regarding protecting the environment, the difference arises in
respect of implementing this aspects in right way. As it is also examined that different
person are appointed to work under the oil industries, thus criteria of providing training is
also different.

 Technological: In this factors, technology is undertaken in respect of reaching to large
customer base on the aspects of providing usage regarding reusing the waste products or
protecting environment from any hazardous substances. In such manner, technology
plays the vital role in respect of reaching to large customer base. As Qatar is the
developed country and also engaged with qualified person having knowledge regarding
accomplishing the task (Rastogi and Trivedi, 2016). In such respect they had to innovate
the advance technology so that they can track the quality of air and water to impose strict
regulation against the oil industries.
 Legal: In this laws are imposed in respect of welfare and safety of the people and also
protect their right to provide better results. Thus, this is the basic rights of the citizen as
their rights are protected and also environment is secured to accomplish better work.
Thus, in such manner strict norms and regulation are imposed against industries in
respect of protecting water and air not using any dangerous activities.
 Environmental: In respect of this aspects, the environment aspects are affecting in
respect of climatic changes. Thus, in such manner, new techniques are to be implemented
in respect of securing environment from harmful substances. This can be undertaken
through appointing the inspection officer to examined the duty regarding inspecting the
air quality control (Christodoulou and Cullinane, 2019). So that they can undertake the
procedure in better way and protect the rights and duties of industries for longer time
period.
In context of undertaking or incorporating the relation with the business environment, it
can also be examined through adapting the SWOT model which is used in respect of identifying
the working criteria of the Qatar. It can be:
1. Strength: They considered to be one of the largest production in respect of natural or oil
reserves. In respect of undertaking various modern ways in reaching to large customer
base, they use the modern communication which is located at Doha and also the system is
to be operated by the educated person (Perera, 2017). As it is also examined that they are
engaged with large number of people but still the ratio of poverty is less. This is the main
strength which is examined in case of Qatar.
2. Weakness: In respect of increasing the production of oil and other related products, it is
examined that there is low growth in market as due to facing strict government norms

regarding importing and exporting goods. As it is also interpreted that Qatar results in
facing lack of management in respect of quality control. Thus, in such manner they fail to
save environment and also faced challenges in respect of improving the condition of the
people.
3. Opportunities: In this aspects, they get various opportunities in respect of expanding the
business in different countries. As Qatar is the largest suppliers of oil and other types of
gases (Aithal, 2016). Thus, they get opportunity in respect of dealing in large area and
also promote the country name through adapting the latest modern communication
procedure to interact with different countries.
4. Threats: In this factors, the threats is examined in respective of securing the geographical
region by having strict norms against the military base. As by having unaligned policies
regarding managing the overall integrity of the country, they faces minute issues in
respect of reaching and building the large customer base.
Thus, from the above study, it is examined that the environment issue is majorly covered
under air and water resulting to getting major benefits to the people of the country if they are
applied or used in right way. Thus, it is the major responsibility of the country to protect the right
of the citizen and also secure and maintain their interest towards the safety of environment
(Henderson, 2015). In such way, it can be examined that proper platform, is used in respect of
reaching to large customer base. As digital media play the important role in respect of provide
various facility to customer so that they can itself take the initiative to protect the environment.

In context of oil industries, the rights are to be secured in respect of appointing the
inspection officer to check the oil consumption and also the air condition on regular bases. As
the machines which are resulting in consuming more pollution, are to be examined and resolved
on daily bases. So they can be improved within the stipulated time period. As in respect of using
the eco friendly machines which results in getting less pollution from the substances which is
prepared in industries or the mechanism which they are adapting resulting in getting better
results (Galanou and Farrag, 2015). Thus, in such manner by protecting the environment from
such aspects, they had to use such products which provide better results to environment and also
secure the interest of people in respect of protecting their health in better way.
CONCLUSION
From the above study, it is examined that the impact of environment is mainly raises in
gulf countries as they are situated near Persian sea and thus, carrying large number of business.
In respect of determining the impact of Qatar in respect of critical impact through environment
reflecting the integrity of the country. As Qatar is considered to be the third largest reserves fro
natural gas and oil. In such manner the issue arises in respect of the gases or substances which
came out from the industries and they are disposed under the water. Usually few industries had
put the system in respect if disposal of waste or any liquid substances in water. Thus, it is the
most important issue as water is such aspect which is availed by every person and the usages of
water is spread round the world. Thus, various factors are to be undertaken in respect of

protecting the rights of the citizen and also imposing the duties of the industries to protect citizen
interest for longer time period.
