INTRODUCTION
The report aims to identify the importance of various features in context of Academy grading. I
student must required to perform under some norms and responsibilities which are the main
criteria for academic writing. Student got many projects and report writing that must be covered
with proper evidence, critical analysis, clear and precise, written in formal way as well as consist
a proper objective (Mallia, 2017). These are some of the important features which are going to
describe in this report. Apart from this, there will be personal experience about learning and
writing for own academic areas and How could they improve will also going to discuss further.

Academic writing and its features
Academic writing is all about working under the norms of academic context. It defines a
set of structure and proper way to represent the projects. It can be said that, a student needs to
share their information and knowledge in a formal manner where, an appropriate structure and
method will be follow for completing projects, research reports and presentation.
The most major feature of academic writing is the structure of report. It is important for a student
to present a project in a proper structure which starts from the title then introduction table of
content in clear connection of subtopics. At last the Conclusion and references must be there.
This feature is important to evaluate the topic in a presentable way so that the reader would be
aware about a clear purpose of the report (Sarwar, Ahmad, and Hyder, 2017). A proper structure
is must to get good grades in academic writing projects as it is a basic need for delivering the
report outcome in an effective manner.
The other most important feature of academic writing is evidenced. This feature focuses on
preventing any copyright issues and avoid irrelevancy of the content for which, proper
referencing is necessary to ensure content validity. This feature is necessary as to protect the
author’s right over the content and it shows that the writer has used relevant sources in order to

relevant meaning ( Berdanier, and Zerbe, E., 2018). This feature is important as it enables proper
understanding for reader. when the content written in short and simple manner it will be more
understandable. Therefore, Language also a play an important role in academic writing as it
avoids use of Technical words which are not is easily understandable.

writing a letter to the friend or communicating with peers and friends. rather it is about
maintaining a professional language and achieve the objective of the report. There are usage of
well written English and vocabulary which are most common for academic writing. This feature
is important to make difference in regular and academic writing and provide necessary
information within the boundaries of formal communication. All these features are important in
academic writing that must be considered for a individual to write report and present research for
holding a degree in their own area of specialization. Basically, it emphasis on being formal, short
and precise, relevant and authentic in delivering necessary facts for the topic.
In my own experience when I started writing projects, I first felt quite confused about searching
information and writing it in own way. I was not aware about academic terms and vocabulary
was difficult for me to maintain a formal structure project. By the time, I started focusing on my
writing skills and indulge in more a project by taking exports knowledge. I was quite weak in
proper referencing style as there are many ways to provide in-text citations but then I made it
possible by acknowledging all different styles and their relevance in my content. I need to
improve some of my academic writing skills such as critical evaluation, writing short sentences
and presenting a structure (Scott, and Hoffmeister, 2018). Sometimes, I was not able to write in
concise manner which leads to excessive word count in the report. Therefore, I need to focus on
more off clear sentences and develop good vocabulary true practicing language in everyday
n true to facts for others knowledge, so that it I required to know proper referencing styles and
