experts and government are moving towards and making some sensible strides so as to
determine clashes.
As to identify those aspect which will create a situation of conflicts at time of conservation
of heritage and cultural tourism, it is very essential to focus upon two major factors. One,
negative affecting factors that is hampering cultural and heritage aspect of a nation. Second,
generating income from designing and constructing of several areas which is been made to
promote heritage and cultural so that awareness can be created as well as this will help in
attaining growth in market. It is very essential to have a proper coordination between these two
factors so that a circumstance of conflict can be avoided. It is also very necessary for all related
stakeholders to be very well aware about these two aspects so that according to several situation
management can be performed. Stakeholders are government, local community, investors and
tourist, in context to Lhasa and Tibet.
It has been known that reason of conflict is establishment of resort Lhasa paradise that is
been introduced by IHG. These are number of projects that is planned and established by
government of China. Another cause of conflict is the foundation of a park and Barkhor town,
this is because a campaign was made called as Free Tibet which is made so as to boycott all
those initiatives that are related to growth specified by government of China. It has been noticed
that establishment of resort will increase the number of visitors especially Chinese near by 4
kilometre areas will lead in affecting culture and heritage of Tibet nation. The raising conflict is
all about the China is promoting their ideas with Tibet culture and heritage. As Chinese
governing authority trying to modernising Tibet but the Tibetan are worried for their old
historical heritage and they feels that due to this uniqueness and identity may get lost. As
Chinese will more travel to Tibet then issues regarding vanishing of Tibetan language may
arise. This is the reason why people are afraid and conflict situation is getting raised.
Tibetan are very much against it as they don't want any other country to get indulge in
its heritage. There are situation where Tibetans can get in London-based free campaign where
they can boycott the plans that Chinese are willing to introduce. Government of Tibet is facing
many issues regarding the heritage and culture of the nation as because new projects that China
is going to introduce if affecting natural beauty of Lhasa, Tibet. These problems are mostly in
terms of growth and development of culture tourism sites and visitors points. Government are
taking some steps in order to resolve conflicts. However, following are potential conflicts

between cultural resources and conservation of heritage:-
Presentation of sites- It is one of the major issue that is developing an conflict situation.
Nation lack in presenting the actual beauty and value of a particular place in front of
customers and visitors. Proper awareness has not been conveyed to customers about an
attraction point this is affecting destination as well as support of government if also can
not be able to sustain and prevent those areas.
Threats against potential growth- As government of China is planning to introduce new
projects in Tibet market, they are using the available resources which is outdated. This
will not help in developing the present state of a nation. The devaluation's of sites will
take place this will lessen the visitors.
Poor use of land- Proper planning of using the land is not made by government therefore
visitors will not get attracted towards particular sites and destinations. Hence it become
very essential for planning in an appropriate manner so that customers will get satisfied
as their needs and wants will get attained effectively.
Technologies- At present era innovation and technologies are very much in boom, hence
it is very much required by nation's government to consider them so as the tourist places
can be developed and growth can be attained form them. Training and development
programs also has to be given to employees and staffs working at a particular place.
Disrespect of right of visitors- It is very important to consider about customer's as well
as nation's beliefs and values it never should be affected. If such situation takes place
then a very problematic situation will take place with will ultimately hinder growth and
development of heritage and culture of a place.
According to me, Tibet without boycotting the projects of China and with their own strategic
plan and amalgamate with them so that both can make an effective start will will attract more
customers and along with that they can be able to maintain the heritage and culture of Lhasa,
Tibet.
