This research proposal investigates the impact of human resource (HR) practices on the work environment and employee retention within the State Audit Institution in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The study aims to analyze the influence of HRM practices and organizational culture on employee retention, explore challenges related to staff retention, and examine the impact of job satisfaction on employee turnover. The proposal reviews relevant literature on the UAE labor market, HRM practices, and employee retention management, highlighting the significance of these factors in a globalized economy. The research will employ a positivism research philosophy and an exploratory research design, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative methods to address the research questions. The study intends to contribute to the existing knowledge by providing insights into the key variables that affect employee retention and assisting public organizations in formulating strategies to improve employee retention, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction. The assumed outcomes are intended to improve the policies of UAE on the selection processes, the staff recruitment and the organizational developments.
