Human resource are the significant assets for every business organization to
handle entire activities as it put their huge efforts for accomplishing objectives. Mainly, HR
department play a significant role in hiring and firing employees, provide training,
maintaining positive relation and interpreting employment laws within the company. as HR
manager also responsible for managing employees working activities and their relation so
that positive and healthy working environment can be easily implement (Rozanna, Adam and
Majid, 2019). If workers are effectively managed then firm easily develop their efficiency
and enhance competitive image as well. As HR department is important as it provide a high
return to business by managing its people. Thus, proper management of employees is
necessary for the company through which they can reduce the employee turnover and also
retain them for longer period. Current research is based on the ZARA, is one of the famous
and leading Spanish apparel retailers that is famous in fast fashion and products including
clothing, accessories and many more. The main focus of this organization is to attain
competitive success at market place by providing best quality of services in market place.
This is possible by its skilled and talented staff members who are able to accomplishing their
targets in a successful way.

RM is important part that is based on the theoretical and system. As it consists various
methods and tools which applied by the researcher to gather relevant data and content that
contributes in achieving accurate and reliable results within the investigation. With the help
of this, overall research can be easily undertaken and make it more reliable. The primary
advantages of this phase is to generate authentic judgement by analysis depth analysis on the
basis of specified area of study. For this aspect, research onion is used as it is an effective part
that used by investigator to take reliable outcomes. In this context, there are some important
layers of research which are explained in below:
Research Philosophy:
It provides a set of beliefs or contents relating to the nature of reality being
investigated. There are two forms of theoretical theory, such as interpretivism and positivism
(Trivellas and et. Al., 2019). For this study, the philosophy of interpretation is used as it helps
to analyse knowledge in an efficient manner. Reliable data on the issue will also allow the
researcher to arrive at a correct conclusion. Furthermore, positivism philosophy is not much
effective for undertaking the research that is not support in determining positive results.

In research activities, there are various method and techniques to carried out the study
activities in an structured frame. In this context there are different type of method such as
qualitative and quantitative research, primary and secondary source of data collection,
research strategy, time horizon, research approach and many more. All these are explained in
below mentioned:
 Research approach: It is related to the framework that help researcher in evaluation
the overall aspect that support in determining the real solution about the theme. In
this, different approaches are there such as inductive and deductive research approach
which provide support to investigator in gathering reliable information as per
investigation topic (Chaudhary, 2019). For undertaking current research, investigator
will use deductive research approach because by using this effective theory and
hypothesis can be easily develop that assist in testing hypothesis. It directly

contributes in taking a actual conclusion in investigation. Apart from this, inductive
research approach is effective for gathering theoretical data but for this research topic
it is not suitable and appropriate as well.
 Primary and secondary research: While undertaking investigation, it is important
for investigator to select suitable and best tool as they easily take right decision study
to make it more consistent and successful. As there are two sources of collecting data
such as primary and secondary method. In primary method, data is collected through
different sources like survey, questionnaire, interview and many more. This type of
information is fresh in nature as it helps in attaining accurate decision within the
research. In this context, it also has great influence over the end results because it is
measurable in nature. Furthermore, secondary method provides depth and detail
analysis that help in attaining positive outcomes. Mainly, it includes various methods
such as books, journals, articles, magazines and many more. All these are contributing
in improving positive results. In current study, investigator use both source of method
which may contributes in gathering reliable and authentic results. By applying
primary tool, research maker designs a structured questionnaire that includes different
close- ended questions that put in-front of selected respondents about research. Along
with this, secondary method of data collection also effective in carried out LR that is
focus on research objectives in order to take a right decision conclusion.
 Sample size and sampling method: It is considered as a crucial procedure for
choosing respondents’ size from larger population for gathering valid and reliable
information directly from people as per particular theme and research area. As, there
are two type method like probabilistic and non- probabilistic sampling that directly
contributes in collecting authentic information (Batistič and van der Laken, 2019). For
executing current study, investigator apply probabilistic sampling techniques that
allow respondents to share their view and opinion with researcher. In this, chosen
respondents get equal opportunities to get selected that may directly contributes in
drawing a reliable decision. Along with this, researcher also select sample size as per
random basis to gather data. By using this method, 30 respondents will be selected on
the basis of random sampling. In this selected participant are the employee of
company who are capable and eligible for providing relevant data about HRM
department and how it influences overall performance of the company.
 Qualitative and quantitative research approach: It is significant for investigator to
evaluate the overall aspects of study before undertaking the same. This can be

beneficial in amend the possibilities of accomplishing the positive results at the end of
the study (Makedon and et. Al., 2019). As qualitative and quantitative are two type of
research as it helps investigator to analysis the actual facts and figures about the
selected topic and theme also. Along with this, researcher also evaluate the
effectiveness of research method before applying the same. Under this study,
quantitative method is used by investigator that is suitable for this project as it helps
in providing information that is measurable in nature and also beneficial for taking
right and reliable data. In addition of this, it also provides wide scope to investigation
that is more effective and authentic. In this, data will be gathering from questionnaire
that is more relevant and robust as well. Through this, researcher can easily attain
success within their study by generating positive outcomes.
 Time horizon: For making overall research more successful, researcher requires that
each and every activities of the study should be completed in a specified time frame
so that possibilities of risk can be reduced and eliminated. In this context time horizon
is one of the important frameworks that help researcher in determining the period that
required to starting and ending the research activities in an effective manner. For this,
Gantt chart is also considered as an important aspect that provide graphical
representation that includes all the project activities along with specified time frame.
By this, researcher easily complete the project in particular time frame and at the
same time also reduce the chances of arising any kind of issues and obstacles within
the study.
 Research Strategy: There are different type of strategies by which researcher attain all
the set goals and targets of the investigation in order to make it more successful and
reliable as well. As case study, experiments, action research, survey interview and
many more are the important that help in generating authentic information towards the
role of HR department and how it affects the overall performance of the company
(Yong and et. Al., 2019). For this research, case study is one of the effective research
strategies that help in gathering data on the basis of respondents’ viewpoints. This will
directly contribute in analysing the opinion in order to determine the main issues that
research has discussed. By this, researcher gather detailed analysis and also
contributes in generating reliable data on the basis of research topic and area with the
aim of taking right decision at the end of the investigation.
