INTRODUCTION
Career planning is defined as the processes of becoming self-aware about personal
capabilities, interests and career opportunities along with development career goals (Park Lim
and Lee, 2021). This report provides personal career goals along with reflection on personal
strengths and weaknesses. Finally aim for the semester to achieve career goals is also defined in
this report.
MAIN BODY
Goal Planning
Goal planning focuses on developing a plan of action which motivates individuals and
guides them towards attaining their personal or career goals (Cabell and Gnilka, 2021). In
context of my personal career development action plan my goal is to make a children home so
that I am able to help vulnerable children. This goal can be completed by taking nursing courses
and improving knowledge about medical system in United Kingdom so that appropriate help can
be provided to vulnerable children in need. Studying in the field of health and social care will
support this goal as it can improve knowledge about United Kingdom healthcare and provide
credentials you work in childcare field.
Reflection on personal strength
Based on my current working at Amazon I have realized that my main strengths are my
interpersonal and communication skills. I am able to utilize my interpersonal skills and
communication skills at work to ensure continuous flow of information at the workplace and
collaborate with my colleagues to attain objectives in a timely manner. In addition to this I have
quick decision-making skills as I am able to analyze variables affecting a situation to make the
most practical decision or getting desired result in that circumstance. I will improve my
communication and interpersonal skills by learning more about communication theories and
participating in group activities. I will enhance my decision-making skills by learning about
reasoning tutees so that I am able to use critical reasoning to improve my decision-making.
Reflection on personal weakness
I have reflected that my primary weakness is creative thinking which is required in order
to deal with children and contribute to childcare field. I will make improvement in my creative

thinking by building my confidence to take risks and engaging in pastime activities such as
painting to improve creativity. I have weak organizational skills which can impact on my
performance in health and social care field. Improve my organizational skills by implementing
time management tools such as 4D time management And learning about strategic planning.
Aim for the semester
My goal for this semester is to improve my creativity and organization skills. I will be
looking for opportunities to enhance my creativity and learn more about creative thinking during
this semester. In addition to this I will also apply time management tool at work and academic
activities to improve my organizational skills. Finally I also aim to learn about communication
techniques which can be used to interact with children so that my interpersonal and
communication skills can be developed in context of childcare.

CONCLUSION
From the above report it is concluded that identification of career progression
opportunities can be identified by reflecting on personal strengths and weaknesses. This helps
individuals understand their capabilities in context of their career of interest so that suitable
action can be taken to exploit available career opportunities.
