INTRODUCTION
Employability skills can be referred as set of skills and behaviours that are crucial for
every job (Ismail and Mohammed, 2015). It can be called as soft, foundation, work readiness, job
readiness skills. This is considered as essential for many job position and also become necessary
for an individual employment success at any level of business environment. In short, this skill
will be comprised of things as set of achievements, understanding and personal attributes.
The present report will look over business activities of Travelogue hotel UK, it is private
company operates in hotels and hospitality industry throughout the UK. It is largest chain in
United Kingdom and this enterprise takes initiatives to provide quality services to customers.
Furthermore, assignment will include the following things as to develop set of own
responsibilities and performance objectives, effectiveness against defined objectives, motivation
techniques to improve quality performance of employees, solution to work based problem and
effective time management strategies.
Lastly, report will focus over team dynamics and appropriate strategies for resolving
issues relates with labour turnover and potential impact of implementation of strategies.
TASK 1
1.1 Description on develop set of own responsibilities and performance objectives.
Employ-ability skill refers to attributes that makes the person able to gain and maintain
employment. Thus, it helps to make understand the personal qualities, habits and attitudes
influence that how to make interaction with others. It is transferable skill that is useful in terms to
bring improvement in quality performance of employees. Employees are valuable assets to
enterprise and they are key to success without them organization cannot perform well. Thus, to
develop set of own responsibility and performance objectives defined in below presented manner
as-
Personal responsibility- It is the idea that human being choose, instigate and cause their own
actions. Thus, it is the willingness to accept the importance of standards that society establishes
for individual behavior.
Own responsibility in organization
It is very crucial for manager to follow all the responsibilities assigned to them.
Organization are hierarchies of titles. The manager of enterprise spend a considerable amount of
time in terms to make the interaction with people. Under this, number of people will be inclusive

as peers, subordinates, superiors, government and customers etc. Thus, all kind of interaction
requires an understanding of the interpersonal relations about the people. The manager is
responsible for performing the all kind of responsibility as planning, organizing, staffing,
directing and controlling so that all activities can be run in smooth and effective manner. Thus, it
is very crucial that manager must have proper skill to perform their different roles. Thus,
responsibility of the managers has been defined in following ways as-
1. Every employee is responsible for understanding the work allotted and determining that it
is appropriate for gaining profitability within enterprise.
2. Individual in the enterprise must perform their work in team manner. They must works as
to fulfill the responsibility by attending meetings, contribution to decision making and
making better participation in organizational projects (Esa, Padi and Hassan, 2015).
3. The individual must be responsible for managing decision making processes and work as
to oversee the operations of business for interest of person.
4. Employees and employers should work in the enterprise as the greatest assets in order to
make the firm profitable.
Being the manager of the Travelogue it is very crucial to be advanced in communication.
Although, my communication skill are effective and I use to make interaction with my staff on
daily basis so that they are able to perform their role in better mode. I must say communication
must be done on time so that all things can be performed in better and efficient mode. It is
responsibility to make interaction and aware the staff about the set procedures, policies and
regulation within the framework.
Performance objectives at the organization-
Employee in the enterprise should have customer focused objectives so it can be possible
to provide quality customer service.
To develop job knowledge and skill that can assist to conduct better work by framing
vision, mission, values, principles and strategies.
By planning and implementing successful projects and initiatives (Minocha and Tudor,
2017). It is effective in promoting promoting personal growth and advancement in order
to acquire desired knowledge and skills.

In the above part I have mentioned the objectives that aids me to get things done
effectively. It is very important to conduct the evaluation on own effectiveness so that things can
be performed in appropriate mode and better culture of working within entity can be presented.
Being the manager of Travelogue I do my work as to put consideration over needs and
wants of customers so that process of business can be improved. Firstly, I work as to clarify the
goals so that people do the right thing at the exact time. I enable the employees towards the
achievement of superior standard of work performance. At this level, I develop the job
knowledge of employees by framing appropriate vision, mission, values, principles and
strategies.
After framing the plans and procedures I work as to implement them so it helps to
achieve the results by working with staff in order to meet established targets. Effective
delegation of task is one of the most essential supervisory function. I encourage the employees
and direct the leaders so that they both can conduct the organisational activities in effective
manner.
After implementation of policies and procedures as per the defined goals, it is my
responsibility to conduct training programmes so that each individual can perform their activities
appropriately. In this way, I use to conduct the feedback of employees so that I can provide the
best knowledge as possible. This is assistive in creating and maintaining the better work culture
within the enterprise. Being the manager, I concern about the personal growth and advancement
so that knowledge and skill can be develop.
The performance appraisal and salary system can be useful in order to enhance provide
encourages to employees of the enterprise. Thus, Travelodge needs to conduct the training
facilities for employees so that better skill audit will be helpful to do the the things in better and
efficient manner.

I am very much effective in leadership skill as I can able to lead the things
effectively. Although, I performed my all activities with help of making proper
coordination. In order to make it more effective I decided to attend the seminars
so that I can able to excel my performance.

I am good in problem solving skill in order to sort out the issues I have decided
to view my overall performance so that I can able to attend my desired
objectives. I need to develop the analytical thinking so I can perform the things
in better and efficient mode

I am not that much good in managing time, at the time of three or four task, I
get hesitated and cannot able to perform the task in effective manner. To
improve time management skill I work as to set the deadline to each task so that
can achieve the result within the proper framework.

I am good in oral communication but my written communication is not that
much effective. Thus, it can be improved by attending the classes, dictionary,
books and coaching reading.

As I have stated above that I am expert in framing and planning of policies within
enterprise. Sometimes, I feel that my communication skills are not much effective due to this
managerial conflicts arise. Due to it, the overall activities within the enterprise get affected.
Thus, I also feel that being manager it is essential to make interaction with supervisors so that all
things can go in one proper direction. The another issues I face is relate with time management
strategies, I am not able to handle more than one task at a time and this affects my efficiency and
this leads me get poor results. In order to get overcome with this two issue I will conduct the
things in following manner as are-
For improving the communication skill I use to deal with presentations so that I can able
to communicate my things in better manner. I work as to being engaged in the discussion with

my Co-workers so that I can be open up in from of them. To get cope up with my issue of
interaction I take initiative in order to develop confidence so that I can do the thing without being
hesitated. This leads me to get the things in proper direction. To improvised the time
management activities, it is essential to track the proper record of activities and one particular
deadline to each task must be assigned so that things can be accomplished within set time-frame.
By assigning the time to each task the all things can be appropriately and with help of it more
than one task can be performed.
In order to improve the leadership skill, I need to attend the seminar, classes so that there I can
develop my knowledge and can be able to conduct the activities effectively. By making better
coordination with team member I can perform the things in better mode.

The term employees motivation is one of critical factor that leads to get the things done
effectively. It is one of the crucial element that work as to enhance employees productivity,
quality and bring speedy performance. In Travelodge hotel, there are number of employees and
in order to motivate them it is essential to have the use of motivation techniques and this are
defined in below presented manner as-
1. Maslow's need hierarchy theory- This is one of best motivational theory and it is based on
desires of human. Thus, the motive of this theory is that individuals basic needs must be met
before they become motivated to achieve higher level of needs. Thus, it has been defined in
below presented manner as-
Physiological needs- It is basic and relates with human life inclusive of things as food, shelter,
air, water and clothing these all are necessities of life. It has tremendous influence over the
behaviour of human. Thus, Travelogue is taking various initiatives in terms to met this needs
before higher level needs emerge.
Safety need- After satisfying the above, the next need will be called as safety and security needs.
To meet these needs requires more money in these desire as to have economic security and
protection from physical dangers. It becomes inactive one these are satisfied.
Social need- It is inclusive of things as social interaction, companionship and belongingness etc.
Thus, socialising and belongingness prefer to work in groups so that all things can be done in
better mode.

gathering and analysing the problem and it must be fully understood. Being the manager of
Travelodge, I have faced the issue as all employees were lacking in performing their duties
within proper time and problems were as lack of communication between employees and not
able to meet the sales targets. Thus, at this it is essential to make the list of issue and to identify
the reason due to which it has been raised. It must be done effectively so that all other activities
can be dine in better manner.
Brainstorming possible solutions- In order to get overcome with the issues that has actually
been raised it is essential to take the possible solution from the employees. At this, the each idea
will be focused and it helps to reach to the one fine solution so that appropriate steps can be
taken to sort out the issue. To get overcome from this issue, I have started to conduct the meeting
of employees so that they can make better interaction or issue relates with communication can
get resolved. To get rid of meeting sales targets it is essential to make better communication
within staff and I have decided to set the deadlines relates with work so that things can be
achieved in better manner.
Make a decision- At this level, form the various alternative solution the one suitable will be
adopted and one better decision can be drawn to get the things done in appropriate mode. Being
the manager, I work as to encourage the people to make balance within the innovation and risk
taking. With help of it, the one appropriate decision can be taken.
Implement the decision- After selecting the one suitable course of action it is essential to stand
by the decision so that proper outcomes can be achieved. With help of doing the things in the
better the one particular goal and issues can be resolve appropriately. There are some problem
that is big to mitigate it this is essential to take the proper action at many times by puttying the

Monitor the outcomes- At this level, it is essential to encourage the employees to perform their
