INTRODUCTION
Leaders and managers have different roles and characteristics, but they are often
considered as a same in most of the organizations. Leaders inspire and motivate, whereas
managers plan, organize, and coordinate (Fenwick and Elcock., 2016). A leader sets his eyes on
the bigger picture, while a manager puts all the pieces of the daily puzzle together.
This report will cover case study of Dyson and HSBC. Dyson is a British technology
based company who are selling vacuum cleaners, air purifiers etc. while HSBC is a British
multinational investment bank who provide banking services. It will compare both the
companies on the basis of their leaders and managers roles and characteristics.
