organisation and leader control functions of a team. Another difference between leader and
manager is that leader has many followers. But manager is the person who is appointed for
manage team and issues not providing direction to enterprise. There is another difference
between leader and manager is that manger is appointed by top level management without
participation of other employee but leader is select with the consent of team members who will
follow the instruction given by their leaders (Grint and Holt, 2011). In the company manager has
power to change policies and strategies but leader can not do this. Apart from that leader is aware

But in case of manager he/she can manage activities of a team but can not make his/her own
team.

In the organisation there are many situations which are faced by a leader some affect

example if a team is inexperienced and they do not follow any instruction given by leader than
he has to adopt autocratic style of leadership in which he give instructions to his/her team
members and if they do not obey any command than leader have to punish those employees.
Punishment is a kind of motivation by which leader can motivate to his/her team members for
performing well (Fraley and et. al., 2011). There are many theories like X theory which used to
give motivation to those worker who do not want work according to the instructions given by
leader. One another situation is that when team is experienced and they already give their good
results than leader is adopted democratic style of leadership and also use delegation of authority
because team also present their good performance and leader can also allow to his/her team
member in decision making process. Apart from that reward, bonus and commission is another
things by which leader can give motivation to their team members.
