INTRODUCTION
Communication is defined a medium of sharing ideas, information and message among
two people with the assistance of channels of communication. In addition to this, communication
is an important aspect as it assist in developing good relation with other people and also help in
knowing the perception of others in a proper manner (Dwyer and Hopwood, 2019). In the
present time period, it is essential for a person to have an effective communication skills so that
they can grab better opportunities effectively and timely as well. The communication procedure
is mainly associated with various barriers of communication that is important to declined or
removed. The current project is based on Learn English United Kingdom. It is an English
language schools based in Manchester and London as well. The school has over 1000
international students attending within a year. In the present time, students of school is facing
many issues that is noise of passing traffic, improper listening of what teacher communicates,
weak Wi-Fi signal and so on. The report will cover various general theories of organisational
communication. In addition to this, there is evaluation of communication barriers and the
strategies is discuss to overcome with such communication barriers. In the last, some
recommendations is given in order to improve communication among students and teachers as
well.

General theories of organisational communication
There are many theories of organisational communication which is executed by an entity
in order to ensure effective communication and improve performance as well. Some of the
theories is described below in relation to respective school:
Communication Accommodation Theory: It is consider as one of the effective
communication theory which was developed by Howard Giles and focuses on adjustments which
people does at the time of communicating by declining the social differences (García-Sánchez,
2020). In addition to this, the aspect which leads to accommodation activity are mainly
adjustments that can be through gestures and verbal communication as well. There are mainly
two forms of accommodation process involved in this theory that is convergence and divergence.
In context to convergence, it is basically a procedure where individuals tend to accept other

premises of school so that no disturbance and issues take place while giving class and
students should communicate with their family and friends and searching information in a
proper manner.
Moreover, the respective school is needed to promote diverse culture within the premises
so that every student have the knowledge about different language and culture due to
which they are able to develop good relation with others and also understand other
opinions which decline the level of conflicts arise (Bruža and Rudančić, 2018).
In the last, it is suggested to make use of social media applications in order to promote
about school as it assist in reaching large number of people in short time period and also
enhance the students base level of school in an effective manner.
