There is need to improve role of legislator in so that laws are implemented in effective
way. This can be done in many ways..
Within the year 2011 , A single set of WHS laws to be applied all over Australia developed by
Safe Work Australia. These are called as a ‘model’ laws. Thus for such WHS Laws becomes
more legal binding ,states, Commonwealth as well as territories that can separately applied them
as according to their own laws.
The main objectives of such act is to give a nationally consistent and balanced Framework to
secure health as well as safety of employees and workplaces. It does this through
Protecting employees as well as other persons from any kind of harm by needed of duty holders
to reduce or eliminates risk (Kussmaul,,and Boyd, 2019)
Giving for effective and fair representation ,cooperation and consultation.
Boosting unions as well as employer firms to take constructive roles within promoting the
improvements regarding WHS practices.
It also promotes provision of information, advice, training and education for WHS.
It assures relevant scrutiny as well as reviews of actions taken through persons who have power.
It also gives a framework for an improvement which is consistent.
It strengthening and maintaining national harmonization of WHS laws as well as facilitating a
regular approach regarding WHS.
Here, some code of practice can be applied as well to improve role of legislator.
Codes of practices
These are the practical guides to accomplish the standards regarding health as well as safety
under the model WHS act and regulations.
Within Jurisdiction a model of code of practices should be applied there. To analysis if a mode

compliance will also take to enforcing as well as monitoring compliance alongside laws of
WHS.
