Critical thinking
The first module helped in learning crucial thinking approaches so that I can make better
decisions. This aspect plays a crucial role in professional growth and employability because with
critical analysis it is possible for me to express myself, my perspective and ideas freely without
any restrictions. In order to make better communication with others as well as to accomplish
tasks with more creativity it is required that one must be able to critically think and react. With
the help of module, I got chance to develop understanding that for achieving success I must not
accept everything in flow instead I must develop ability to question and to critically judge the
problems and decisions. It will not only make the performance better but will also help me to
identify my own mistakes and to explore the possibilities of improvements.
Critical thinking ability which I developed in the module can also help me in improving
my academic skills because in higher education and research work critical nature is considered as
important cognitive skill for improving the decision making ability as well as capacity to think in
more rational and logical way. Thus it will enhance educational outcomes as well as professional
skills which can provide more competitive and performance benefits while dealing with
professional challenges. Critical thinking is also necessary for developing more in depth
understanding of own needs and goals as well as to motivate self for achieving those goals
(Jankelová, Joniaková and Mišún, 2021).
Relationship management:
Relationship management is one of the core skill which not only helps in business or
professional context but is also necessary for social and personal dynamics. It is required that
individuals must have capabilities to build good social and professional network so that as team
desired goals can be achieved. Through the learning from the modules I used to learn that in
order to grow one must be able to align and cooperate with others because professional success
cannot be measured by individual efforts instead it is measured by collective efforts.
Relationship management can be of great use for my professional development. In future
when I will work in teams then I will need to demonstrate certain skills or behaviour so that I am
not engaged in conflicts or awkward situations. The lack of ability to communicate or socialise
or build long term relation with others can have adverse impact on my performance (Moghimi

and Sadri, 2021.). In any profession long term association and business networks are required
which can be built only by maintaining and building good relations.
The learnings which I gained from this module are vital in understanding and
implementing strategies for retaining strong client support so that brand loyalty can be achieved
and I can successfully meet the organisational targets. In order to improve the business outcome
and relationship between firm and its potential clients this skill is a mandatory asset. Thus
development of relationship management skill will definitely provide me a valuable advantage
over others. The module also gave me learning and insight about the challenges and approaches
to maintain good professional relations which are necessary for professional growth.
Emotional intelligence
Emotional intelligence is defined as the individual’s ability to respond, regulate and
identify the emotions of self as well as others so that they can be managed and can contribute in
continuous development. Completion of third module gave me understanding about the
significance of emotional intelligence and its role in achieving professional excellence. Earlier I
was not aware with the role and importance of emotional intelligence. However, with the
completion of module I learned that in order to effective manage the workplace stress and job
satisfaction this aspect of personality must be developed and understood. Well understanding of
emotions helped to understand the perspective of others as well so that ii can understand others.
It helped me in easily managing conflicts and relations with others. Thus I believe that this skill
will be of great use in my profession because in order to solve the conflicts or odd behaviour of
others it can help me to adopt suitable approach.
The recognition of emotions and feelings can help me to work and improved upon the
empathy, social skills, self-regulation and awareness as well as motivational aspect. All these
areas can be developed and improved only when I have understanding and greater value of
emotional quotient. Thus the module learning has contributed significantly in developing a major
professional skill. Recognition and understanding of emotions is also essential to build good
relation and understanding among team members. It develops team collaboration, better
knowledge of human resources and related stakeholders (Farnia, Nafukho and Petrides, 2018).
Teamwork:
The fourth module gave me deeper understanding of team development theories and
significance. With team working approaches I got to learn that certain complex tasks can be

resolved only with team efforts. Teams provide an opportunity to use the strengths of different
individuals towards accomplishment of shared goals. Development of this skill at academic level
is of great priority. At university level also there are situations when I have to work in teams.
Thus it is important for me to understand and accept the concept of diversity, individual
differences, conflicts as well as variation in perspectives. Understanding of these skills through
this module at academic level will prepare me for my professional challenges. Professionally I
will have to work with complex and huge teams so I must be well aware with team dynamics.
The lack of team work skills can be a threat for my professional growth because in order to lead
people I must have great command over team diversity and related matters. With completion of
this module I understood the related concerns, techniques and methods to survive and build great
teams as well as importance of team working in more complex projects.
Career planning
One of the most crucial aspect which determines the success of graduates or university
students is good career planning. If suitable approaches are not adopted to plan the available
opportunities and threats then skills may not get utilised to their full extent. In the fifth module I
got chance to understand the career planning options and methodologies. The learning from the
module helped me in making my career planning more systematic and organised. If I would have
not learned career planning method then I could have skipped several important metrics which I
should consider while panning career or making decisions. Without career planning I cannot
accomplish my professional goals. The module helped me in understanding the practices through
which I can identify career opportunities, skill gaps as well as planning to fill that gap.
Career planning learning is not only helpful at this phase but will remain important in
professional phases of my life as well. For instance, in future whenever I will be planning to
make a professional shift then I will apply learning from this module to understand the
consequences as well as necessary planning to make suitable decision. For planning my carrier
with appropriate consideration of my skills, abilities, strengths, weakness as well as preferred
career options. Development of career planning strategies and learnings is vital for the
continuous exposure to available career options and accomplishment of personal and
professional goals (Santos, Wang and Lewis, 2018). Learning from this module will assist me in
managing my career path and direction in most desirable manner so that I can secure my passion

can make complex and delegated objectives more manageable for me.
