Introduction:
Business process management is the concept to analyse the process of a business as how a
business creates, edits and how it continue with complete the customer’s requirement.
Different factors as, channels, task management and process management are the part of
business process management. The process of the business process management life cycle
includes different phases as, design, model, execute, monitor and optimise. The current
assignment of business process management has various workshops that included different
tasks in it.
In the workshop one, an enterprise system in used to introduce with different case studies and
provide answers of different tasks. The next workshop four, define procurement game that
based on the business process. The next six workshops include the fulfilment game for the
business process. The production in the business and its process include in the workshop
eight and the last workshop nine used to define the supply chain dynamics with task one and
two, these are based on the given case study of Harvard business review.

Workshop 1: Introduction into Enterprise System:
Task 1: Davenport
Que. 1: Advantages of the Enterprise system for the organization?
Ans. The enterprise system is helpful in an organization for the integration of different factors
as, accounting and financial information, supply chain information, information of human
resource, customer information with other factors. The scope of the enterprise system founds
in different sectors as financials, logistics operations and human resource with sales and
marketing. In the financial sector, asset accounting, general ledger, cost of product
accounting with profitability analysis with others are included. The human resource area
includes payroll system that related with the enterprise system and travel expenses with other
factors. Inventory, shipping, vendor evaluation and plant maintenance include in the area of
logistics and operations. The sales and marketing include the factors of pricing, sales and
order management with sales planning. The anatomy of enterprise system controls by the
central database that connected with customers and suppliers. On the other side, employees
and manager with stakeholders are used to communicate with each other. Here are some
advantages of the enterprise system in an organization as:
 It is easy to access the organization data from a central location and collaborate with the
employees to enhance the business and process of the organization. The system starts
work instantly with using the key information as to check the status of project,
performance of employees and financial reporting.
 The ERP system used to enhance planning and reporting capabilities with the reports,
graphics, calculation and graphics of an organization. Track the performance of the
employees with real time information with using the enterprise system.
 Increase the efficiency of work and save time to complete work with other tasks. Create
customer relationship management system for the automate marketing and manage the
appointments. It also helps to track the automate process and get an alert on project
demand.
 The enterprise system used to secure the data with its quality and provide an option to
select the data to access with the selected authority. In other benefits of the enterprise
systems are like, scalable, cost savings and easy to customise as per the requirements
(Davenport, 1998).

Que. 2: Impact on the organization’s business strategy by the enterprise system
Ans. ERP or enterprise planning impact on the process of business with using different
factors as business intelligence used to ERP system process to implement information
technology in the organization. Define the IT objectives or the goals before implement any
technology in the organization. ERP system also use in the infrastructure of the information
technology. Strategy in the business creates to give a direction to the business and ERP
system impact different process and the structure of the organization.
The process of the business intelligence impact by the implementation of the ERP and it also
impact the success factor of the organization. The business intelligence used to help in the
delivery process of the ERP system. The ERP system used to reduce the cost of the system
and it is time savings compare to other systems (Zaglago, 2013).
The use of ERP system in the business helps to deliver the quality results and increase the
capabilities of the business. The ERP helps to track each task in the business process as well
as track the planning for the resources.
The ERP system used to break the barrier of communication in the different department of
the business. For taking an example, sales and marketing department it the mini organization
as this department has more work load compare to other department but after implement the
ERP system as use the software, the communication and delivery of the product be on time.
Control the resource cost of the organization with implement the ERP system as well as data
management system. Manage the data of the organization with using the ERP system and
train people to get befits of the ERP system. Decrease the power consumption of the
company with the server based process and manages by the third party (Davenport, 1998).

Que. 3: How enterprise system impact company’s culture and organization?
Ans. The enterprise system impacts the organization and the culture with the change in the
organization. It improve the flow of information in the organization and reduce the cost with
establish the linkages with the contractors and suppliers and manage the process of the
business. The ERP system impacts on the organization culture with the management structure
and make the process more flexible. It makes the process more commendable and control
with using different resources. Discipline factor in the organization can be control with using
the enterprise system as well as implementation process of different technologies used to
complete with using the ERP system. The hierarchical architecture of any organization can be
control by the ERP system. Customer and suppliers also control or in track with using the
ERP system as well as it works in the sharing of real time information and provide more
creative environment to the client or customers (Guo, 2014).
Different multinational operations conduct and perform with using the ERP systems and this
system helps to get real time data from the different sources. Influence the internal process of
an organization and achieve the goals of the business with benefits. The learning level of the
employees also affected by the ERP system as well as it also impact on the assimilation level
of company. The structure of the organization increase connection with the information
technology with using the ERP system (Davenport, 1998).

Task 2: Failure of ERP
Que. 1 Define the ERP failure:
FoxMeyer is drug organization that establish computerise system in the company to manage
different critical operations and resolve issues. In the year of 1994, company plan to establish
the system with the cost of $65 million and after some time, company lost money and count
in bankruptcy list of companies. The company has sale in the previous year with $5.1 billion
and after implement computerised system it count in bankruptcy. Company expend money on
new computers with hardware and software without implement ERP system preplanning. The
opponent company of FoxMeyer, McKesson Crop, pay $80 million to the organization to
save from bankruptcy. The ERP system of the FoxMeyer failed due to various reasons that
are defined as:
The sweeping automation techniques is one of the reason of failure of the ERP system as this
process required much efficiency in the process but the result is not works as per
expectations. The current organization is one of the organization that crippled by the
technology and its different factors. In some other companies, Dennis, that is a research firm,
was founded in 1994 and cancels its 31% projects due to software development. With
implement technology in the organization, company plans to increase their business growth,
cut the costs and speed up the inventory process in the organization. It used to provide better
information to the customers but in the end of the result the ERP failed to manage the system
with its advantages.
The other issue in the implementation of the ERP system in the FoxMeyer is to manage
different orders of the company as it failed to manage. The company gets 500,000 orders
each day but the ERP system only manage few thousand orders each day as company need to
use another ERP system for the organization. The new mainframe system used to manage the
orders with invoice and control process. It is hard to sell the products on the ERP software
and company take help of another organization to complete the sell process. The contact of
the organization not completes on time due to the lack of resources as the resources failed to
collect data with using the ERP system. The process of the warehouse troubled due to the
new ERP system as company installed handpicked system in the manufacturing process of
the company and new ERP system delay to complete the process of manufacturing (Glass,
1998).

Workshop 4: Procurement Game
Task 1: Discuss different issues at employee roles:
The process of the procurement game analyses by the management or the leaders of the
organization and find some issues in the process. This process used to resolve with using the
SAP implementation or with other solutions in the organization. Procurement Game is the
theory that used to apply in a process reduce the cost of functions and increase the
performance of the employees of the organization with some boost advantages. Here is the
team of four members from different areas as: supplier, warehouse, purchasing and
accounting.
The major issues from different areas experienced by different members from the team and
the areas are like, supply, warehouse, purchasing and accounting. Each of team member play
role in it’s define area and resolve issues with implement ERP systems.
Find the issues at different level in using research methods and data analysis process. In some
other issues, find lack of common mindset with customer resistance and lack of governance.
Selection of appropriate methodology that used to fulfil the standard requirement and
lifecycle management to use in the process identification of different methods is one of the
issues of the business process management in supplier area.
The issues in the warehouse area are to remove components from the productions and begin
the quantities return delivery from the sales functions. In the purchasing area, cost
management with inventory business unit are the main issues with find the locations of the
areas. The accounting area holds the issues with business process management are like,
communication, idea of product, sale and cash with production to order. Manage the flow
with manage the balance sheet (Sadiq, 2007).

Implement SAP system in the current process to mitigate the issues of the organizations from
different areas as, supplier, warehouse, accounting and purchasing. The SAP is helpful to
reduce the cost of the projects and improve the margins of the product and increase the
manufacturing process at all level of production. The SAP implementation is helpful in the
process of return of assets. In the current area of competition, company implement SAP to
resolve the issues and use different technologies as per the requirement. Increase the
competition in the market with using the SAP implementation as well as increase the process
of management. Manage a flexible approach in the different departments of the organization
to solve the customer interaction. Decrease the number of errors and increase the satisfaction
number of employees in the organization with using the ERP system.
Supplier Warehouse Purchasing Accounting
Roles and responsibilities of the different department used to define with using the SAP
system. Increase the efficiency of the systems with responsiveness that defines time to meet
the shorts goals of the organization. Manage different products of the organization and
provide high level service. The system resolve the issues with create a common interface
system between the customers and the suppliers. The system also provides a real time support
to the business to increase the responsiveness. The flow of information about each concept
that relate in the current information system used by the enterprises system and it also helps
in the delivery of the services and approaches (Martin, 2000).

Workshop 6: Fulfilment Game
1 (a & b) Identify and discuss different issues and solutions with SAP
The given case scenario is about the sales department or sales orders of the table tennis
organization with using the process of fulfilment game. The team of the table tennis
organization complete the process with Table Tennis Company, rackets and balls with table
tennis tables. The organization completes the process of delivery of the products with using
some different steps as sales, warehouse, accounting and customer. These are also some
major areas where some issues are finding in the process. Supply chain management process
includes these all areas to achieve the goals and the issues of these areas. The process of
supply chain includes some phases are, source of raw materials, production with raw
materials, process and packaging problems and their solutions, distribution of wholesale and
the redistribution of the products to the consumers in retail areas. Some issues of the supply
chain are also, sales, warehouse, accounting and customers.
Lack of traceability is also an issue that define as with tracking process of the products in all
phases of the supply chain. It affects the integrity of brands and customer’s loyalty. The
solutions of this issue are to implement block-chain in the network of the organization. The
quality of the products with maintain the safety are next issue of the sales and warehouse
process that includes some more factors as, warehouse practices with poor storage,
transportation delays, changes in weather and sabotage of industry. Add solution to resolve
this issue with select high quality raw materials, follow international standards with testing
the products before deliver. Communication issue in the organization is also a major problem
in the area of customer and accounting as the lack of knowledge with little knowledge can be
affect the process of an organization. Communication increases the productivity in different
parties and in between organizations. The solution to increase communication in the
organization is to implement latest technology to make it easy and fast. Implement cloud
based network and some more tools that can make increase communication in the
organization.
Rising of the different costs of the organization is an issue that includes some category with
fuel cost, energy cost, manpower and investment in different technology with logistics. Find
the solution that need to implement in the organization to reduce cost of different areas.
Measure and manage the cost of different areas of SCM with using different technology.

Implement some strategy in the organization with the planning and operating models to fulfil
the demands of the users in the given time and budget. Apply some methodologies as agile in
SCM with complete planning and integrated it with complete execution. Optimise the
products designs with the policy of the project management in the process of manufacturing
as a technology or methodology (Nah, 2004).

Task 1: Different between manufacturing & assembly
In the current case scenario of the tasks, the business of table tennis Company going well and
the company situated in victoria. The owner of the company is going to increase the area of
current business with start manufacturing of table tennis tables and establish a small factory
near current sales office. In this task of the current scenario, find the different between
manufacturing and assembly.
The process of manufacturing and assembly used to create products for customers as per
company policy and user requirement. The process of production use inputs as material and
non-material to create the utilities. Human efforts and raw material are used in the production
process to create the products for the customers. The production process used to create
something with use different resources. It’s a process that used to convert inputs into outputs.
The main resource of this process is human and the creation of the production is possible with
utility. The output is in the form of products or goods and services.
On the other side, manufacturing process used to provide output with using different
resources as, human efforts, machines and tools and chemical reactions in the process of
get output. It is a complete process that used to get output with using raw materials and the
output only in the form of products or goods.
In the process of manufacturing, it is must to use machinery, on the other side; the production
can be done without use of any kind of machinery. The output of the manufacture process is
tangible as only goods but in the process of production the output is both kinds, intangible
and tangible (Brierley, 2006).
