Introduction
Business communication is a process of exchanging business related
different ideas, views and news between people within or outside an
organisation
. When the communication occurs between two or more than two
business people for the purpose of effective administration of the
company then it is considered as Business Communication. This
assessment is based on BusinessUnited that is a private college based in
London.
Importance of cultural awareness
Students are of different cultures and have identities built from multiple
cultures. The teacher should create an atmosphere of inclusive where students
can adapt the new environment and feel comfortable.
Through cultural awareness, the students share the information of their ethical
background as a means of encouraging a trusting relationship with their
fellow mates. Cultural awareness helps the students to reduce the negative
behaviour towards the other students. They also get the opportunity to learn
about the different cultures.

The Challenges and barriers to effective communication are as
follows-
Emotional Barrier- Covid 19 has create a great impact on students, they
are missing their peers and school. The students are getting bored
listening to their teacher for a number of hours.
Noise Barrier- Due to Covid 19, students are getting their lecture on
zoom, during the session they interrupt the teachers and it makes difficult
to focus in live class.
Technical Barriers- Students are facing the problem of poor Wi-Fi that
miss the parts of lesson. Also some teachers and students are using old
laptop that takes along tome to load the new pages.
Physical Barrier- Studying from Home, makes students uncomfortable
by sitting and looking at the screen for a long period of time, the students
are getting the problem of headache.
Cultural Barrier-The students in the school are of different culture, they
miss to communicate in their own languages with friends.
Listening Barrier- During Zoom classes the students face the problem of
listening, a lot of outside noise interrupt the teachers and students while
listening.
Effective strategies for overcoming communication barriers
Teacher should conduct the fun activities during the classes so that the
students interact with their friends and they also don't feel bored while
studying, it helps to overcome the emotional barrier.
The students and teacher can overcome the noise barrier by clicking on
mute option on zoom and listening lecture of teacher only.
Teacher can overcome the technical barrier by making a video of the
lessons so that if students have any doubt or query related to live lecture they
can clear out by watching video.
The classes can be conduct by taking a short break during the lectures
so that the students and teacher can take a rest in that time, it helps in
overcoming the Physical barrier.
For overcoming the listening barrier students should select an appropriate
place where no disturbance occurs during the lectures.
Conclusion
It is being concluded that, the school have the responsibility to teach their
students about how to synthesize the cultural differences into their knowledge
base so that they get personal and professional success in a diverse world.
