Homework Assignment
AI Summary
This assignment presents a Personal Development Plan (PDP) created by a student, focusing on self-assessment and goal setting for professional growth. The PDP begins with a SWOT analysis, identifying the student's strengths (oral communication, research skills), weaknesses (time management, stress management, leadership skills), opportunities (improving time management and leadership), and threats (poor written communication). The assignment then outlines the student's goals using the SMART technique (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time-bound), detailing how they plan to improve leadership, time management, written communication, and stress management skills. Finally, the PDP defines short-term, medium-term, and long-term objectives, including enhancing skills within three months, excelling in final exams and securing a job within a year, and becoming a production manager within five years. The assignment also includes references to relevant academic sources.

Stage 1 – Analysis
My SWOT Analysis
STRENGTHS: there are various skills that are my strength and help in fulfilling my learning
needs in a proper and appropriate manner: Oral communication skills is one my main strengths
that has helped in fulfilling my learning needs. Oral communication skills have helped me in
communicating with others, bringing forwards my ideas and view point in front of others.
Another important strength that helped me in fulfilling my learning needs is research skills. This
skill helped me in collecting information from different sources in order to address a problem in
a proper manner and further helped in completing my projects and assignments in a proper and
appropriate manner.
WEAKNESSES: One of my main weakness in learning needs fulfilment was time management.
Whenever it comes to completing more than one task in a specific time period, I face various
difficulties. Stress management is my another one of main weakness because whenever I need to
complete a task or give presentation in short time period in front of others, I get stressed out
easily. Another one of my main weakness is my leadership skills. I have observed that I cannot
lead a group of few people and cannot distribute task to my group members as per their skills and
weaknesses.
OPPORTUNITIES: Bringing improvement within my time management skills will enhance my
opportunities in learning needs. Bringing improvement within my time management skills will
easily help me in becoming a multi tasker and completing all the given task on time. This will
further help me in dealing with my stress and will eventually help me in learning stress
management as well. By bringing improvement within my leadership skills, various
opportunities for me can open like leading a project or task and completing it within time
successfully.
THREATS: I do not have good written communication skills. Not working on written
communication skills result in getting lower marks and sometimes due to this, I fail in expressing
my point of view of ideas in written format to others. Not only this, I also need to bring
improvement within my time management skills because failing to do so will become a threat in
learning needs and will become a barrier for me in becoming a multi-tasker.

Stage 2 – Setting Goals
SMART Technique is a kind of way of setting SMART goals that are Specific,
Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and can be achieved in timely manner (Bjerke and Renger,
2017). These goals help in focusing upon our own efforts and further helps using in achieving
out pre-defined goals in more appropriate manner.
GOAL is a thing which is required to be accomplished by a person. For example: I want
to become a production manager in a large organization in next 5 years (Sull and Sull, 2018).
Goal helps in development of aim which is required to be achieved within a time period. These
goals help in development of long- term plans though which SMART goals can be achieved.
Long- term plan is a kind of plan that helps in developing a map of guidance in which work
which is required to be done can be prioritized, monitored and achieved within a timely manner.
