1.1 Identification and reflection on my approach to personal learning
and development
Personal development and learning refer to the process of improvement of an
individual throughout their life so that they can inherit various skills and talent which help
in achievement of goals (Lejeune, Beausaert and Raemdonck, 2021). Personal learning helps
in enhancing the confidence and increment of employability so that I can lead a higher

quality life. Development helps in fulfilling various needs such as safety needs, self
actualization and esteem needs which is important for sustaining the life in better
manner. I can make better decisions for my practical life with the help of learning and
development sessions. Along with the satisfaction of various needs it also enhances
various skills like communication skills, interpersonal skills, problem solving skills,
adaptability skills and leadership skills which are important for each and every individual
for the effective performance. It clarifies the personal vision so that I can establish my
targets to be achieved within a prescribed time period. Personal learning and
development help in motivating an individual so that they can improve their
performances by enhancing their confidence and knowledge about their respective field.
It added values in the life which helps in identification of potentials which are required
for the fulfilment of objectives. Personal learning and development also help me in
overcoming the problems and challenges which can affect the performance.
1.2 Identification of the transferable skills I have already developed by
attending this module
Transferable skills refer to the expertise which can be used by an individual in
various fields to perform activities which help them in growth and development (Bachikand
Kitzman, 2020). Transferable skills which I have developed with the help of this module
helps me in achievement of goals and objectives in effective manner. There are various
skills such as problem solving, leadership, team work, critical thinking and
communication. I can use these skills in various different projects because they are
easily transferable and adaptable. These can also be identified as portable skills which I
can use in different fields. It helped me in sharing knowledge and information from one
person to another so that we can effectively achieve goals and objectives. It is easy to
perform activities when all the group members contribute their efforts in particular
direction. Transferable skills such as communication helps in maintaining better
coordination among different people which results in improved performance. It helped
me in enhancing my confidence and morale which develops my personality.
Transferring skills helps in maintaining better relationship with the people who are
working together to achieve common goals (Frenchand Eskridge, 2021). I have learnt various
new things which will help me in performing operations in practical life. It enhanced the
ability to work in ethical manner by following all the code of conducts which are
necessary for the growth and development. These skills will help me in completing my
projects and assignments prior to their deadlines.

individual. It helps in nurturing and identification of the required talents so that I can
