Dear Selection Committee
I have always loved the organising and managing things since childhood. I wanted to pursue the
course in business and management as because I am interested in management and development.
This course is about the management of business. I have always believed in doing task with
accuracy whether its a small task or big task. As coordination and communication are the core
strength of mine which require for managing things and people. I take responsibilities according
to my capabilities and I have always being answerable to those responsibilities which given to
me. I love travelling and very keen to learn about the international cultures. So to know more
about international culture and market, want to pursue course of International Development. Due
to frequent travelling, I have gained strong knowledge about the social culture of various
communities. This enables me to communicate easily and fit in different culture easily. I have an
experience in strategic planning and working in the conflict areas to resolve them, which will
help me in the course of business and management. As knowledge of computer system is very
important now days, I have core computer competencies.
Skills and Achievements:
With the help of my work experience I have developed certain competitive skills, management
skills, analytical skills and conceptual skills. As during my professional work I had to visit many
places for collecting and analysing the data for company. So it enhanced my analytical skill and
communication skill. I possess the proven competencies in computers. The willingness is very
important to learn new things and am able and willing to travel away from home and stay in the
field. I have the knowledge of project cycle skills is very important which includes assessment,
designs, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. Apart from this, I have strong commitment
towards the social justice, promoting gender awareness and equality. As I have experience in
emergency food assistance where my work was general food distribution, cash for work, cash-
transfer and market based programming. This shows my management skills. I am very fluent in
written and spoken Arabic and very good at English. I have worked as Volunteer for British Red
Cross, where I have provided one to one support to needy peoples. As I consider this as an
achievement for me because I have served for betterment of people.

Education Qualification:
As due to interest in business and management I have accesses to higher education diploma
level 3 in business and management. And apart from this I have certification in English and
Maths functional skills level 2, UK- Manchester Secondary School, Yemen. My education roam
around my interest only as I have interest in business management and international development
and I have done my education in same field to continue my interest.
Professional Experience:
I have started my professional career in early 2009-10 in a Health Office where my work was to
visit the rural areas of Aden/Yemen and create awareness about the hygiene and health issues. As
this helped me a lot to enhance my communication skill. After that I worked in ICRC, Yemen
where my work was as a translator, as I used read the original material and I had to rewrite in
target language. Bedside this I have worked as field coordinator also where my work was
planning and coordinating various projects. And I have prepared the finances for company, done
supervision and I have also monitor and evaluate the projects. From year 2013-2015, I have
worked for Adventist Development and Relief Agency, Yemen. And there I was field officer
and my work was to raise awareness about positive nutrition behaviour. I used to monitor and
evaluate the work of subordinates and my work was to submit weekly and monthly reports to
field coordinators. An another add to my professional work is, I am currently working for British
Red Cross as Refugee Support Interpreter Volunteer. My main duties includes the facilitating
communication between caseworker. I assist the clients by completing their forms in their local
language. I used identify and respond to clients such as children and adults regarding their query.
As along with this I am working as Refugee Support Caseworker volunteer, my work is to
support the beneficiary to access other services from the NHS, legal representatives and social
services.
As if I get the admission in university then it will be an aid for university because I have ample
of experience in various field. This will help me also to grow my career in right direction.
