Research Topic for Investigation
The topic that I have chosen for my research is the “Quality and use of Technology in
India”. The boom of digital evolution and the increased use of smartphone is changing the way
of learning among the students in India (Zaidi & Arora, 2019). The online videos and the
interactive feature on the smart devices have increased the mode of learning online among the
children and that kind of study has become more flexible as well as non-intrusive in nature.
I have selected this topic as my investigation to learn about the education system that is
ongoing in India. The education system in India is robust and includes storing foundations. India
is not early adopter of technology in education system but with the access of broadband internet
of high speed and having low cost computer systems as well as mobile devices (Sunder, 2016).
The process of e-learning has increased in India and that has drawn my interest to know about
the quality and the technology that is used in India to process e-learning. Technologies in
education can be used in different ways to improve the education system in India.
Need to investigate the chosen topic
Technology in India will change the education system and education will become more
affordable as well as accessible. The education technology is an important aspect of India and
India has massive access deficit with the high education quality in the primary as well as
secondary schools. As India has the largest population, education cost for educating the people
include high cost and the cost is increasing steadily (Pohlmann, 2019). It is expected that the
technology in India will increase the quality of education at school levels.
There was a time when the experts talked about the education technology with audio,
visual as well as experiential technology. They also talked about the hardware technology, the

software technology as well as the technology that was system based. But the scenario has
changed. Billion people over the world has stated the benefits of the education technologies. The
investors all over the world have invested billions of money to improve the education sector and
the results have increased improvement in education all over the world.
As per my view India is not far behind with the educational sector. India has been
working on the edtech targeted to some indigenous problems. For Indian policy makers, it is
important to know the edtech industry is headed and potential are to be trapped so that changes
can be applied in the education sector. So, I think researching about quality and technology in
India would be great topic to conduct my research.
Reasons that states the chosen topic is an area of investigation
Education has become much transformative and teachers as well as the students can
synthesize the information across the subjects along with experiences. Worldwide has included
distant learning facilities and students in their education system that that has increased the output
of online education (Pawar, 2017). There are many technologies that are being used in daily lives
by the students and those are to be researched and studied. So, this chosen area of topic will help
to find out different technologies that are used in online education and the quality of education
that is provided to the student from online education.
