2PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Introduction
Hasan et al. (2019) mentioned that the project management (PM) technology will
make improvement over the communication as well as collaboration by breaking down the
individuals as well as project team members. The project management software will allow the
project team to centralize the project documents, work with the project schedule as well as
budget and tag project related updates by means of using project management technology.
The technology provides impact on the project management when there is shortage of the
information via using the project cloud. By keeping the critical resources into the cloud, the
team members can get access to the project documents, images and other project related
work. PM technology is mainly used for sending of email from one person to other
(Martínez-Rojas, Marín and Vila 2016). By means of cloud based as well as PM technology,
the project manager is presented with ways to improve over the productivity with the project
team members as well as establish of accountability for the team.
Evaluation on current academic thinking on technologies in managing
project
The project management is affected by introducing of the technologies such as mobile,
cloud technologies and information sharing technologies used to manage over the project team
members.
1. Role of Mobile technology in project management
According to Lyons and Tagg (2019), the project team is using the mobile
technologies for collaboration as well as communication with the project team members
remotely. It helps the project manager along with the project team to stay updated with the
project tasks as well as develop priorities of project work. The mobile technologies features
are wikis, blogs, chat, mobile notifications, emails, as well as real time updates will help the

project manager to do the project tasks in less time as well as less resources. The mobile
technology helps the project manager and team to select data for display and enable the user
to interact with data. It also makes the communication possible with the project team
members about data related work. Mobile technology manages the project work by
immediate interaction between the project stakeholders. At the starting of project planning,
each one should be at same phase regarding how to manage the project work. In most of the
project, whether it is construction or technical based, constant communication is conducted
among various parties and mobile technology fulfills requirements of the project stakeholders
and also increases in productivity (Hasan et al. 2019). The mobile technology allows the
parties to solve the problems using email and submission of documents in real time project.
2. Role of Cloud technologies in project management
A cloud based technology is used for coordinating project planning, collaboration,
project monitoring as well as delivering of the project work on time. It allows the project
manager as well as project team to get the work completed by means of network tools
available with software. It helps to manage the project deadlines as well as productivity of the
project becomes more effective. The cloud based technologies should allow access to the
information with flexibility in addition to ease (Alreshidi, Mourshed and Rezgui 2016). The
cloud based technology is very easier in the pocket of the project team. The cloud
technologies are being designed to modify collaboration by ending of emails at the
workplace. It provides with centralized place for interaction as well as document sharing to
get high productivity from the project team. For the team productivity purpose, the project
manager uses time tracking software to establish the project baseline spent per project work
(Rimal and Lumb 2017). It can improve over quality of the project work as well as amount
completed. The cloud technology is required to measure output relative to the working hours.
It also helps in breaking down the project in manageable tasks (Alreshidi, Mourshed and

Rezgui 2018). It helps in establishing connectivity between the project tasks by showing
which goals are to be interdependent.
3. Role of Information sharing technologies in project management
The information sharing technologies can plan the project work by taking in
considerations of previous track record in account. This technology helps in tracking of the
project evolution when it is coming to complete of project work on scheduled time and cost.
Scheduling and time management becomes easier by easily register on work items as well as
take people work schedule in account. It makes sure that people are working at right time and
at right things (Martínez-Rojas, Marín and Vila 2016). It helps to keep track of the real time
check of time and allocated cost. In order to get success in the project, monitoring of progress
of work is required. Dedicated software is played significant role to monitor stages of the
project work, and provided insights in whether things are to be completed on time or not.
Document sharing among the project team enables people to find documents, and
specifications which can enable in communication. The company is collaborated with clients
as well as suppliers from anywhere and anytime by using information sharing technologies
(Bălău and Utz 2017). This technology is used to offer client ability to log in as well as view
of project data. It provides the project clients with direct feedback and review of progress in
similar place.
Conclusion
It is concluded that the technologies such as mobile, cloud and information
technologies enhanced in increasing level of the client satisfaction. The technologies help in
backing up the data on ongoing based as well as keeping records on file. IT project
management is required to plan, as well as organize responsibility to complete project goals
as well as objectives. Improved over the project communication is key towards the project

success. It uses of the technology in project management so that there is efficient interaction
between project team as well as stakeholders. The technologies are most helpful in time as
well as budget planning, so that solution helps in planning as well as running of project work.
There is easier document requirements and files are stored. It is concluded that the project is
managed properly by making proper schedule management, allocation of people with right
skills in addition managing of budgets.
