INTRODUCTION
The reflective learning is an active learning in which it help an individual to manage his
work and also help the students in managing their assignments. It make enable a student to
evaluate his personal learning behavior and also identify strength and weakness. This method help
people to manage their all unconscious events and also offer the knowledge to an effective deal
with actions (Alghamdi and et. al., 2022). It help students during their academic study as it
provide different kind of the working pattern to students and given feedback regarding all issues
or difficulties which are faced by them when making assignments. This essay will be based on the
Gibss reflection life cycle and a description of different reflective approaches to feed forwards and
feedback. It will also include methods to improve the summative and formative assessment.
MAIN BODY
Reflection is considered as analyzation of person's experience and skill that help them in
managing and learning things. It is an essential method that help a leaner in managing his
professional work and enhance self awareness. During 1998, Graham Gibbs has introduced a
GIBBS reflective model. It is an effective structure in which a person can easily manage their own
learning experience (Boettcher and Bentley, 2022). Through this reflective cycle, various methods
has been evaluated in which individual analyses that whether it is helpful for them to work and
manage properly. Gibbs's reflective cycle is comprise of the six phase. In first stage, individuals
describe their all situation in proper detail that include which situation happened and what was the
result of this situation. It applies all information of related situation which are going to take place.
In second phase of feeling, individual evaluate and explore their feeling that they feel during their
experience. In this, all inner instincts and thoughts has been provided which were running in
individual's mind when performing any task and going through same situation. At third stage of
the reflective cycle, evaluation is taken place in which all positive and negative aspect related to
the situation has been analyzed and determined. In this, work's evaluation is done by a person
which is being done by him or her. It help a person in managing and maintaining their focus on
those area where they were lacking and also faced major challenges. Fourth stage of this model is
analysis in which, a person get a chance to regain and also get an opportunity to sense all events. It
help individual to re frame and identified all situation in relation to loopholes that became hurdle

organize the events properly. After this, it comes to the stage of conclusion where all actions,
outcomes and knowledge are summaries effectively which were adopted by a person during
events (Ceccolini, 2022). At last, it contain a final step of reflective cycle that is Action plan, this
stage is considered as most essential phase of this model. It prepare a person to perform the future
task and assignment and aid them to understand that what things they need to keep in mind and
what they need to be removed in all situations. During this, work's realization take place and skills
has been developed of an individual.
Feedback is defined as such reviews that given by an individual on a situation and work which are
performed by students. Generally, feedback has taken by those people ware are expertise in
specific field and contain certain skill related to the work. Feedback gather from a expert may be
positive and negative that help a person get information about his performance. Whereas, process
of the feed-forward is completely different from process of the feedbacks. This process help an
individual to replace their work done by them to mange their work and succeed in a proper
management to attain their future objectives (Li and et. al., 2022). Basically, it is an idea, given by
a superior to their subordinates to manage the situation and overcome from the challenge and
hurdle that were faced by them. Process of the feedback and feed forward is an effective analysis
done by a person by using GIBBS reflective cycle. Thus, this technique is considered most
effective and significant. In the GIBBS reflective cycle, it is determined that its all stages are like
a part of the feedback in which individual try to analyze a particular situation and work form both
the negative and positive aspects. Feed forward is also considered as very significant part of
GIBBS reflective cycle as it is used in last stage of this model. In fifth stage of the reflective cycle,
the action plan help a person to analyze and make goals to manage work in a proper way and valid
manner easily. It is observed that, use of the feed forwards in last phase, help an individual to
reflect and prepare for upcoming events. So , work is managed in an effective manner and also
apply all approaches systematically. Along with this, a person can also apply this reflective cycle
in his general working areas so that he can get many different feedback that help him to know how
to work and different methods of working. Feed forwards also help in managing future events due
to which it is considered as most important part (Montalvo, 2022).
The feedback and feed forwards are most vital way they help people in managing their issues and
make enable them to face any critical issue effectively. By this, an individual can focus on issues
by calculating and analyze all the related pros and cons that are reflecting in work. In the

play vital role in encouraging and motivating the students (Turner and Spowart, 2022). For
instance, if students get praised by their teacher then will become motivated to work more
effectively. Beside it, feedback also help in generating new ideas and also measure so that the
issues can be resolved. So it is responsibility of the seniors that they pay more attention on the
effectiveness and working of students as it will be helpful in enhancing their skills. Whereas, feed
forwards are implemented to provide various measures by which they can face and overcome from
any challenges faced by them during assessment. Beside it, tactics can also be developed that help
them to make their future career more better (Young, Kirkley and Newman, 2022). Student's
ideas and hard work are reflected in formative as well as summatives assessment. Feedback that
are collected help the students to gain self awareness and also increase their confidence to do their
work accurately. Along with this, feedback also promote student's effectiveness that push their
limit to work more effectively and efficiently. Feed-forward is most essential factor that help a
person to make plans for their future growth and make enable them to complete their formative
and summative assessment in a proper way. Thus, it is essential for the higher authorities or
management to provide feedback and feed-forward regularly to their student order to improve
their performance. As a result, it motivate the students and encourage them to work with honesty
and effectiveness.

From the above report, it is concluded that the reflective learning is most essential
techniques as it help students to gain effective learning methods and also identify their strength
