INTRODUCTION
Reflective journal can be refereed as an account of work in progress which is more
essential for opportunity for reflection of learning experience. The presentation of journal may
depend upon the personal experience, preferring learning style and independent focus over
research (Barker, 2019). It helps an individual by identifying significant learning events which
happen in life. The events may involve relationships, careers and personal life of an individual. It
also provides better understanding of personal process over the thoughts about the events
happing in life's. It is an important tool for every person as it encourages them to start thinking
about their own thinking process. Reflective process transfers responsibilities of self-appraisals
and understanding of the elements which are taught to an individual.
MAIN BODY
Reflective journal
While completing the module or task, I participated in various activities in which I
learned about Leadership, Management, Personal development and many more. At the time of
completing the module, I have analysed that communication skills and team work is key or
important for effective working with different people. To consider such learnings model which
can reflect the whole process is Gibbs Reflective Cycle. It is a model which was developed by
Graham Gibbs to give structure to the learning from the different experiences mainly the feelings
and thoughts about the experience (Gordon, 2020). Apart from this evaluation of experience
which can be good or bad and analysis which makes sense of particular situation can also be
stated. Addition to this, conclusion of the learnings and differences can also known by
individual. The following is the description of module or task which I have completed:
Description- For the task I gathered the information which was more as per my
requirements. But I was not know about what type of details and information would be helpful
for my task and module so I gathered more and more data which I though would help me in
future. After doing this, I was confused by the things which were actually required for may work
so I asked my professor to sort the data according to my assigned task. When my professor
helped me and sorted my content, I deleted unnecessary data and the information which was
duplicate, I shared that with my team members so that the work could be done effectively. While
doing this thing I came to know that it is not necessary that all subject matter collected is useful

all the time, we need to select the information with is necessary to the tasks and modules. I also
observed that experienced people like my professor and my family members have knowledge
about different things. This is because they have also done such tasks earlier by which they can
guide me for the things which are good and informative for my work (Harerimana, 2018). I have
also learned different ways to solve my problems because I have searched for new ideas and
solves which would make my task easy.
Feelings- Before doing this task I was very happy and little bit nervous because I like
doing such things but I was confused about the people with whom I had to perform such
activities. In starting my team had good coordination and understandings with each other. Every
person in the team was having good communication skills and problem solving skills, while I
was not so happy for this because I have lacked in this things. But while performing different
activities I realized that I can do these things on my own with proper understanding and
confidence. Then when the module came to the mid of its completion period I was very
frustrated with my team members because they were not helping me in my problems and I had a
thought to leave the task as it is only (Waltz, 2019). Then my professor helped me out and told
me to continue the task as it would take little time but my team members would be helpful to me
once I talk to them about my feelings about them. After that I communicated with my team
members and told that I want to be the part of the effective team, then they also agreed and
understood my problem. After that the bond with each and every team member was so strong
that each one of them knew about the things which can make the task more effective them others.
Evaluation- From the task I have evaluated that the coordination and understanding can
help every person complete there tasks on time in effective manner. For this good
communication with problem solving skills I have made up to complete my tasks. Gathering
information which is correct according to the module is very important and when the members
helped me in completing my work was a moment where I come to know that without my team
this task would be incomplete (Thiagraj and Karim, 2020). I have spent quality time with them
which made me understand there personalities by which I had good bond with each other.
Moreover there has been time where I didn't wanted to continue the task but with the help of my
professor I came to know that expressing the feelings is also important. With this the bond gets
stronger and communication gets better day by day. The positive impact of this module was the
learning of leadership skills as well as the team work. With the task each person came to know

the aspects which are good in them and the aspects on which they need to work (Kanofsky and C
CCPA, 2019).
Analysis: While studying about module I go through next phase of Gibbs reflective
model that is analysis where I analysed my skills and activities that are they competed on time or
not. In area of work I enjoyed my research activity a lot where I analysed that my
communication skills were going to be improved as I divided work between my team and get
ready for completing the work. This is important for all to analyse themselves talent and skills
which can help to bring improvement by facing them. As I was facing stress due to work burden
and completing research where I used Belbin typology that mainly uses for developing a
effective team. As I developed an effective team who plays many role at workplace and which
has built my confidence to work properly (Geithner and Menzel, 2016).
Conclusion: The another phase is conclusion where I felt that I was near by may target. I
learned in such step that work division and team development is effective planning for any
complex task that can be solved easily if all are managed properly. In initial stage I felt that how
the work will be done and proper so I shared the problem with my team that helped me to give
different plans and strategies which used in completing the research. Herein, I considered that
before going to any conclusion and judgement there is need to research and cross check each
stage as they are properly managed or not. In studying, I focused on my team and deliver the
roles to them so they can complete the work on time by organising all activities. I also improved
my information and technological knowledge in which I was little bit weak as I completed the
many courses while working on this project which supported me to improve my technical
knowledge. I was good in management skills as I manage working timely as well as according to
role of employees who worked with me (Wistisen and et.al., 2016). I applied my ICT and
problem solving skills fairly that made happy to me and my team members.
Action Plan: The last stage is Action plan which used by my to solve the all problems
and bring changes through making plan. This stage was extremely helpful for me as I though
what should I do differently which can help to improve the lack knowledge and I got success in
completing the project where I learned my things and improved my knowledge (Waltz). It can be
said that, I got an opportunity for bringing improvements in mine by using all practical
knowledge and building effective team.
