Undergraduate Research on Sustainable Practices in Millennium Hotels

This research project investigates the significance of sustainable practices within Millennium Hotels in New Zealand, employing interviews with 10 managers from Millennium Hotels and other hotels in New Zealand, utilizing a close-ended questionnaire. The research adheres to ethical considerations such as confidentiality and informed consent. Prior literature review highlights the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for business sustainability in Millennium Hotels, justifying the research questions aimed at understanding the impact of hotels on the environment and the importance of CSR and sustainability practices. Primary data collection and statistical data analysis methods are used to gather and assess fresh information, focusing on the role and impact of sustainable practices within the hotel industry.

Brief description of project:
The main aim of this project is to assess the importance of sustainable practices within
millennium hotels in New Zealand. This research will be carried out through giving the answers
of research questions.
Who will be the participants? : In this research, 10 managers would be selected from
millennium hotels, New Zealand and others hotels of New, Zealand in order to conduct the
interview.
Methods
Interview method would be selected for conducting this research. For interview, close-ended
questionnaire structure would be used in designing of questionnaire. Before conducting the
interview, researcher would take prior consent mail to top authority.
Industries or groups who will be contacted or involved (even if they will not be
participants). 10 managers would be selected from millennium hotels in New Zealand and
other hotels of New Zealand.
Ethical considerations. I would follow different ethical principles such as confidentiality,
informed consent, and right to withdraw. Researcher would also aid to keep the confidentiality
of participants in order to ethically conduct the research.
Prior training and/or experience in research (including class sessions): I have conducted this
research by attending the class session. Before this, I have no prior experience related to
research.

Findings in literature review
In the literature review, different CSR issues are discussed for maintaining the business sustainability
in millennium hotel, New Zealand. This literature review also discusses that sustainable practice is
important within millennium hotel, New Zealand. It is found that CSR is beneficial for achieving the
business sustainability in millennium hotel, New Zealand.
Justification of research question,
In current times, Hotels have negative impact on the environment hence different research
questions are selected to understand the importance of CSR and sustainability practices within
millennium hotel, New Zealand.
Methods of data collection & data analysis
Primary data collection method will be used to gather the fresh and First-hand information regarding
research questions. Along with this, statistical data analysis method will be used to assess the
gathered primary information.
