INTRODUCTION
Resource management these are those kind of management that is being used for
maintaining of balance in utilization of resources within an organization. Such management has
to be taken care by the management department of an organization. In these report things that so
going to be covered is related to Next that is an biggest retailer brand in UK and also a case study
has been given for accomplishing of task. Under this task resource management is to be covered,
physical resources is going to be covered , effectiveness of human resources has to be covered
and in the end data has to explained with utilization of physical resources has to be done.
MAIN BODY
TASK 1
Analyse different resources requirements of three businesses in different sector
Business 1 is an agricultural business in the primary sector
The resources that is going to be used is online buying that is going to increase demand
and then only profit will increase and rise in sale is going to generate money for expansion of
fields (Brewster, Mayrhofer and Morley, 2016).
Business 2 is an engineering business in the secondary sector.
Resource that can be used to enhance this business is voice response system that is going
to be helpful in maintaining records and is also going to help in providing information regarding
payment.
Business 3 is a call centre operating in the tertiary sector on a 24/7, 365 days a year basis.
Resources that is going to be used is voice recording because this is going to help in
enhancing of quality of calls
Explain importance of resource management and how this is achieved in an organization
. Resources management is one of the most important tools for an organization as it helps in
making operations performed in smooth manner. It can be achieved by forming of those strategies that are

formed only through analysis of utilization of resources in past projects and building of data is also
required. As strategies and plan to use resources in future is being decided through these.
TASK 2
Evaluate utilization of physical resources and its management
Physical resources are those materials which are used in formation of a product that is
being produced through raw materials. Management of these resources can be done through
making a plan over involvement of resources within an organization.
Evaluation of the measures to reduce the impact of resource wastage
Only optimum utilization of resources can help in reduction of wastage because this can
be helpful in saving resources for future purpose and also finances can be saved to by better
equipments to attain faster result in production.
Assessment of the costs of high profile technological failures
Technological failure can be avoided only by keeping check over the machines that are
going to be used within the task. Also financial resources should be used to upgrade machinery
and technology (Morgeson, Brannick and Levine, 2019).
Assessment of the business case for the use of ethical and sustainable resources.
Next is one of the leading retailers within UK and has to follows ethical code of conduct
at its workplace. This is going to be useful for formation of an healthy environment in an
organization like Next. Also these resources are helpful in maintaining of sustainability within an
organization like Next and are going to help in achieving of goals.

An assessment of the need for human resource planning in the workplace
Human resource planning is very important for a retail organization like Next. As, this is
going to be helpful in selecting of qualified candidates to work. These candidates are helpful in
generating of better and appropriate results.
An evaluation of the methods used to monitor and improve employee performance
Employee performance can be managed through using of 360 feedbacks which is going to be
helpful in generating work efficiency of employees in Next organization.

In effective reward system is going to be helpful for an organization in a manner that, it motivates
employees to enhance there working capacity through motivating them.
TASK 4
Explain the data needed to review and make judgments on employee performance
Being a research it becomes my duty to analyze staff performance of Next. On an average
the staff of the organization has worked in satisfactory manner. As recruitment adviser has been
rated 13 out of 20 in his over al working which means that still improvement is required in living
values. Then Administrative officer has been given 14 out of 20 that mean his work is
satisfactory. Logistic officer has also been working quite satisfactorily as he has good score out
of 30. Deputy Director is required to focus upon living values and planning method. Cost and
price analysis has been done in very efficient manner. Training manger and web designer has
also scored good points. Project and program manager requires improving itself a bit more as it
lacks over few things. Trading manager has helped in making brand a popular brand and has
scored good ratings (Stewart and Brown, 2019).

Data review can be done through KPI in Next as from the data being provided of year
2015-2016 it can be observed that a spend of £60,500 has been done over the launch of new
product and work force has been more then estimated. In 2016-2017 cost of launching another
product was more but workers reduced.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that the concept of resource management is
very useful for an organization to achieve its goal and objectives. In this report three businesses
has been discussed with the resource to be used in them, also management of resources has also
been done in it. Then physical resources have been evaluated with ethical and substantial
resources. Further in this report human resource is discussed. In the end data review has been
done over employees performance and utilization of resources.
