Question 1
Rough draft gives an idea of the arguments that are needed to be included into the
essay and also give the outline to the essay (Bedford, 2016). I think there are certain areas
which determine strength and weaknesses of the rough draft. My rough draft is strong when
the appropriate arguments are outlined along with the issues related to the topic are
mentioned. Besides, my draft is weak when I have not used thesis statements at the beginning
of the essay. Also, if the rough draft is not consisting of a proper format and the relevant
content as per the main points of the paper then, it is expected to be weak draft. Moreover,
there are certain ways by which the essay could be improved. For that, one should have an
understanding of grammar and always have an idea of what to be written for the future. This
requires development of outline in order to make prior evaluation of the arguments (Sari,
2019). For writing a better essay, it is necessary to analyse the evidence of the argument and
are critically presented. This also requires sound vocabulary and grammar that can be helpful
in the writing of the accurate essay.
Question 2
Purpose of peer evaluation of draft is to help each other in improving the writing
skills and pay attention to the detailed piece of information which is crucial for writing. It has
huge importance in effective writing and improving the draft. This provides an opportunity
for the reader to send and receive the constructive feedback that can be helpful in the
realization of the mistakes and improving the writing in a significant manner (Gao, D.
Schunn, & Yu, 2019). Further, I would respond to the peer’s rough draft in such a way that it
can promote more enhancement in the learning and writing skills. Also, I would respond to
the draft through the appropriate feedback that can make their writing and grow in a
professional way. I would check the draft in order to ensure the quality of thesis and the
adequacy of the quality information which is being undertaken for the paper. I would give the
feedback for the revision of the papers that can help peers to make improvements in the draft
which in turn improves the quality of the entire essay.
Question 3
In revision process, FACT has a vital role. Fact is an acronym that stands for Fit, Add,
Cut and Test. ‘Fit’ makes sure that everything fits together and is complementary to the
central idea. ‘Add’ means that the writer must add some missing details in order to make the

draft comprehensive. ‘Cut’ elaborates that the writer must delete the unnecessary parts in the
essay particularly, repetitive statements. Lastly, ‘Test’ means to make the test of the essay
and ensuring that information flows from one step to another in a coherent way. Thus, FACT
altogether can ensure the effectiveness of the revision process and can make the draft useful
(Statistics Solutions, 2017). This is important for the revision process as it reduces the
mistakes and errors and promotes the effectiveness of the draft. This can add to the revision
process in which the writer can add the relevant content and delete the unnecessary content
that can promote the upgradations into the strong features of the draft. FACT can be
important for the process of revision that can enhance the draft through adding missing parts
that can make the draft comprehensive and appealing. It also makes sure that the idea flows
from one to next.
