Important Skill Addition to My Team
Team is a collaborative workforce that delivers high performance with a cumulative
skillset from the members of the team. Each individual participating in the team have their own
strengths that they have acquired over time and with academically influenced real-life scenarios.
I feel that my strength lies with negotiation skills, that I have gained with my professional
experience and from academic learnings.
My educational background has been more inclined towards financial subjects, especially
the accounting principles, cost analysis, audit processes, and other business-related financial
studies. I have also inculcated knowledge of business research method, as a value addition to the
core learnings. I had the opportunity to deliver professional services in a relative field utilizing
my knowledge and learning, for around four years. During my stint at work, I realized that I have
the ability to manage the tasks relating to administration very efficiently. I have also been good
at managing teams and maintaining good human resourcing practices in both professional and
personal life.
The interest in academics and researching pushed me to read articles, where one journal
content from Chowdhury and Miah (2016) helped me to identify the negotiation ability I have
acquired over time. The ability of analytical reasoning has helped me in delivering performance
with value addition to existing processes. I have a sharp focus on details relating to any incident
and therefore based on the learnings from Jones, et al. (2017), I realized that my negotiation
skills can help strengthen a team for excellence and quality achievement.
