Introduction
Software project management involved a combination of both software
development and project management skills and knowledge.
Some of the methodologies used in project delivery were;
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Rapid Application Development (RAD).

Project handling
The project involved breaking down software development process into
modules which are simple and easy to handle as envisioned in SDLC and
RAD methodologies.
Since some modules were to be delivered earlier than expected, some
project phases were skipped by working literally on the them in order to
support preceding phases.

Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Software Development life cycle (SDLC) has been chosen as the one of the
methodologies fit for T&M Stores plc software development.
SDLC offer capability to move from one phase to the other and concentrate on
specific phase during development.
The required improvements are usually done during the next iterations of the life
cycle.
The methodology was applicable in T&M Stores plc case because some phases
of the project were required earlier than others.

Rapid Application Development (RAD)
Rapid Development Application (RAD) offered faster software development
process compared to others.
It focuses on urgent modules first to deliver to the client the important aspects
which customer wants to view.
It was mainly applicable on OOP development concepts making it suitable on
T&M Stores plc software development case.
The choice of both RAD has been facilitated by the its ability to offer software
development in modules.

Project delivery challenges
Project creep has been an issue in the project as project features grew with
time.
Resources such as skilled and knowledgeable project members and finance has
been a great challenge on successful project delivery.
Inadequate support from organizational executive on services that required
interventions from T&M Stores plc management or IT resource person.
Unavailability of organizational executive to commission completion and
starting of the next phases during project implementation.

Conclusion
Project management has been a great challenge to many organizations due to lack
of proper implementation methodology.
Adopting good implementation methodology made it possible to deliver quality
product to the customer.
The choice of both SDLC and RAD was due to its ability to offer flexible process
during project actualization.
Some of the challenges faced during project delivery are; project scope creep, time
constraint and financial challenges.
