destinations and this is the very essential part of the tourism development.
2.2 The significance of interactive planning systems and processes in tourism developments
Tourism development played a prominent role in the economic development for each and
every country. Therefore, all countries are trying to attract large number of customer which can
help to increase employment rate and revenue generation for the economy. On the other hand, it
can also affects on the local public adversely. For example, it can create various problem such as
traffic problem, overcrowding environment, large scale infrastructure development and cultural
affects. All these problems can be arises due to inappropriate planning and development of
tourism. So that it requires an interactive planning in the tourism sector, so that government can
develop a sustainable tourism environment in the country.
Therefore, Philippine government requires to make a effective plan which can also help in
resolving the current and future conflicts in the country
ï‚· It requires a deep and detailed research report which can help to make a interactive
planning.
ï‚· Higher authorities should set their long term goals and objective in order to increase the
visitors in the country.
ï‚· Government also make policies and laws which can help to protect their natural resources
and environment of the country.
ï‚· Before making these plan, they requires to develop required infrastructure such as
transportation facilities, banks, hotels and other necessary facilities for tourism.
2.3 Different approaches available to determine tourist impact
It is seen that the government policies and measures do have an impact on different
sectors of an economy. The same is case with Philippines where government policies and
6

measures do impact in form of economic, environmental and social factors. The government has
list of factors through which impact of tourism can be measured on economy. The list of
measures are listed underneath:
ï‚·
Economic factors: The growth in economic activities that have a monetary value
determine impact of tourism. It can be said that the development of tourism activities
would result in increasing money supply within an economy. This in turn would support
growth and development of economy at whole (Ruhanen, 2013). Further, employment
opportunities, standard of living, distribution of income, gross domestic product,
inflation, etc. helps in measuring impact of tourism on overall economic growth. It can
be said overall growth of Philipines on above mentioned grounds will help government
in identifying way the tourism industry supports the economy at whole.
ï‚·
Environmental factors: Tourism industry tend to have an impact on environmental
factors. The increasing pollution levels and decreasing resources with rise in number of
tourists indicates the negative influence. The government should ensure optimum
utilization of natural resources with sustenance of environment (Sims, 2009). The
tourism activities should be promoted in accordance on grounds that environmental
factors are protected within an economy.
ï‚·
Social Factors: The country’s culture and belief pattern is considered to be impacted by
arrival of tourists. The government should ensure that the exchange of culture and social
norms on positive grounds. The country should adopt different cultures along with
protection of their culture.

TASK 4
4.1 Methods of solving conflict of interest to ensure the future well being
Conflict of interest between various stakeholder become a biggest threat in the
development of travel and tourism. According to the given case study it is stated that preside to
Philippine county is looking for the growth and development of tourism. It helps country in
growth and development of economy. For this purpose, it visited different place within country
and posted pictures of different destination (Fletcher, Fyall, and Wanhill, 2013.). Conflict take
place when it posted picture with touching the carols and which show that tourism is impacting
the natural beauty and not taken responsibility of preventing the natural resources. For resolving
this conflict it government need to take strict action so that natural beauty can be saved of
Philippine. It can
Apart from this there are different type of conflict that take place between the conflict of
interest between local stakeholders, host guest relationship and related to moral and ethical
issues. There are different stakeholder such as tourist, local people, government and employees.
Another reason which raise the conflict is that coastal area is getting negatively impacted due to
wrong action of visitors (Fletcher, Fyall, and Wanhill, 2013.). Tourist who visit at destination
should no pollute the destination as it affect the local people who are living near the destination.
Moreover, there is another conflict that is tension between planner, it need to make sure that not
tourism activity impact the environment and local people. Along with this it also needs to make
sure that tourist get satisfied with its planned.
4.2 Impact of balance between demand and supply
There are some effects of supply and demand with reference to case study of Philippine
that is if demand is high then it necessary to keep supply high so that demand can be fulfill on
time. It is important for an organization to keep balance between supply and demand. Therefore,
if in Philippine for the success tourism development it is necessary to offer attractive product and
services to tourist so that demand increases (Látková and Vogt, 2012.). Along with this demand
refer to the how much quantity of product and services need to buyer. The quantity of demand
8

is depend on the willingness of consumer. On the other hand supply refer to how much market
offer to its consumer. Along with this it can be stated that in the tourism is shaped by its demand
in that particular country. Hence, Tourism demand in the country is provide new opportunities in
the travel and tourism sector. If tourism company want to success the destination it is necessary
that it deliver high quality product and services which is mainly based on sustainable tourism.
There are various types of demand such as current demand, actual, effective, potential, differed
and suppressed demand. The effective or actual demand is that in which tourist actually want to
travel at that particular destination. On the other hand deferred/postponed demand is that in
which people wish to travel at destination but they are unable to travel due to lower supply.
There are some characteristics of demand that is elasticity, competition, seasonality and
simultaneous consumption of complementary good and services. For example if there is increase
in demand on one product, then it may increase the demand of complementary product.
Law of supply is that as the price of product rises then all other thing will be equal, in this
situation supplier will offer more sale. While tourism supply is the consist of an amalgamation or
mix attraction. Further it can be stated that tourism supply shapes the demand for tourism in a
Philippine. There are different suppliers of tourism that is Hospitality, transport and attraction .
In transportation which include the accommodation, entertainment and leisure activities. While
the transport it includes the airways and traveling around. Component of tourism supply are the
superstructure (Include the facilities constructed primarily for supporting visitor activities ),
marketing promotion and destination image
4.3 The moral and ethical issue of enclave tourism
In an every industry pros. & cons. Are always there . In the tourism industry the tourist
faces a lot of issues regarding to ethics and some kind of negative things like unwanted behavior
& overcrowding which shows the less management power to handle the customers expectations.
This is important for the tourist to improve the awareness towards the issues that are faces by the
local communities around the world & for the future perspectives (Chan, Zhang McDonald, and
Qi, 2016). In the tourism the passenger faces many issues like leakage of income, unethical
consumer issues, false advertisement ethics it means as they represent their facilities & services
actually is not there & mass market where the improper environment.
9
Document Page
Sometimes customers are not aware about the unseen places hows there environment,
uncertain calamities that is risky for the customers. Leakage is one of the most common issues in
the packaged holidays, the money is necessary to improve the quality of life for local people its a
major contribution in the country economy. Some kind of issues may be generated regarding to
the food facility & convenience facility according to the promise they cant give that kind of
facilities in an ethical way. This shows the inefficiency of the company ability. On the other hand
every country follows their own culture, believes & values & have certain types of rules &
regulations regarding to their norms sometimes tourist cant understand there culture & other
religion. sometimes they are unpleasantly breaks which give some pressure & depression for a
reliable conditions.
Tourist play a important role in the economy contribution of the country so that tourist
are well satisfied with their services because negative impact gives the harmony effect on the
country economy in case of customer unsatisfactory condition (Carlisle, Kunc and Tiffin, 2013).
Under many circumstances which are invalid for a customer perception they get irritates the
functions of the traveling agency. Many customer are religious for their own country they don't
want to accept other religions which creates the demotivate the customers point of view so that
the responsibility of tr traveler to ensure about the conductibility & environment which are
suitable or not for your perception. Sometimes many of the issues are faces by the customers
they are dissatisfied regarding to their services next time they use your services which are
unfavorable in nature. So that tourist always follow all the norms & regulations which are
beneficial for removing the conflicts & obstacle during the journey.
