PERSONAL SWOT ANALYSIS
Personal development is one of the most important tasks for making our self more
appealing to employers as well as customers. With the help of identifying personal SWOT
analysis individuals can go through all their strengths, weaknesses as well as opportunities
and threats. All the strengths help them in making better future as well as weaknesses which
he/she needs to overcome. The present part states the SWOT analysis of the general manager
of X Company through which he helps in overcoming with the issues faced by company. It is
one of the most essential part through which a person can identify his/her personal
development as well as various career opportunities. Manager plays a crucial role within any
organization and whole decisions regarding the management of company based on their
skills. Further, as a general marketing manager of X company I must possess my SWOT
analysis so I can go through my appropriate personal development as well.
Strength: A personal strength is a most important asset which helps in making an
individual more attractive. X Company is facing several issues due to which they are not able
to attract and retain huge customers. As a general marketing manager, I am having an
excellent staff for handling overall sales with strong knowledge of current products. It is the
major strength which helps me in enhancing my sales with increasing consumer’s loyalty. By
having best sales persons I can easily enhance my sales and retain more number of customers.
As a marketing manager in X Company I need to have several skills and capabilities through
which I can easily overcome with the product recall and limited geographical reach problems.
I can take varied decisions in an appropriate way helps the company in overcoming with yhe
current issues faced by them. With the help of appropriate decision making and problem
solving skill I am able to lead more number of people as well as employees. They can better
survive in a team environment and share several ideas with each other. With the help of this
and better working environment I am able to take several justifiable decisions. It helps me in
motivating my team members which I want to lead. As a result I can get appropriate, well-
designed as well as successful marketing strategies. One of the major responsibilities of the
marketing manager is to select better sales team as well as appropriate promotional and
advertisement tools through which better marketing of products can be done. With the help of
having all such skills and capabilities I am able to take several decisions regarding the online
stores of company. Another major strength which I posses is that I am having a strong market
experience in the past years. It is the best part through which I can make better marketing
analysis for X Company. I am having strong leadership quality through which I can manage

and support my whole sales team. With the help of better support they are able to attract more
number of customers in the absence of online market as well.
Weaknesses: Due to the too many missed deadlines I am suffering from several
issues. It hampers my overall work quality. X Company is facing a huge problem regarding
their online stores. They are not having any appropriate identity of their online store. It might
leads to create a huge competition within the market. Due to this problem I need to go
through the best selection of advertising and promotional technique which helps me in
attracting more number of customers. Due to the too much stock in inventory I am not able to
make my sales team understand about the selling of product. One of the major weaknesses
faced by me is an ineffective communication. It is considered as a biggest weakness due to
which I am not able to support my staff and sales team in an effective manner. Lack of
communication might cause a reason for various problems such as: selection of inappropriate
marketing tactic, dissatisfaction among consumers. It is the major problem due to which
company is not able to overcome with the technical issues faced by them. Marking manager
need to communicate with their customers in an effective manner. A marketing manager must
have to identify the unique attributes of their products and services in order to retain their
customers. I may not able to make differentiate between my products and those of other’s
stock. A lack of differentiation makes it easy for consumer to switch other stores for more
convenience. It might leads to decrease the market share of X Company as well as their sales.
I am not having fully and update knowledge within the technical areas. Due to this, company
is not able to develop their online presence and they are facing various technical issues as
well.
Threats: In today’s increasing and globalized world each and every individual is
trying to enhance their skills as well as capabilities in order to attain better future
opportunities. Being a marketing manager is not a kind job for me as competition is fierce. I
have to develop several skills and capabilities in myself through which I am able to develop
better marketing strategies. Downward economic trend can threaten a high-end clothing store
by decreasing their number of customers. The major threat which I posses is delay in
services. Due to the rapid changing needs of customers sometimes I am not able to manage
their entire requirement on sudden pace and it might leads to decrease the brand reputation of
my firm. Giving competition to the marketing strategies of another retail industries are
becoming a major threat in my working profile. I need to take select some of the best
marketing strategies through which I can compete with my competitors. It is the most

difficult tasks in today’s highly challenging world to attract and retain huge number of
customers. Another major threat faced by me is from more experienced person within my
same field. I may not be able to compete with them in terms of lack of experience as well as
knowledge. It becomes a major threat for me and decreases my professional growth and
blocks my future opportunities. However, I am able to take better decisions due to the better
decision making skill but, I may not be able to compete with other experience marketing
managers within the same industry. One of the major threats for my company is increasing
competition with the other online retail industries. For this, I need to posses several technical
skills so that I can develop better marketing plan for my company.
Opportunities: Due to the increasing globalization as well as changing rapid pace I
am able to develop and grow future better opportunities. I am having various skills and
knowledge in the field of marketing due to which I can get better opportunities in other retail
industries. X Company is having private label brands and it is the most effective feature
which expand the range and availability. It can bring several opportunities for the growth. As
a marketing manager within the X Company I can grow and develop my skills and
capabilities which help me in growing my professional career. With the help of having major
strengths I am able to expand my customer base. It provides higher opportunities to my firm
as they can grow their sales and market share. It provides me high leading growth in my
career and I am able to go on the top position as well. I can handle different types of projects
and adopt best promotional and marketing tools which will boost the public image of my
company. With having appropriate decisions making and problem solving skills I am able to
take the right decisions regarding my personal growth as well as future. It helps me in
providing bright future and continuous improvements in my skills and capabilities.
