Evaluation of Mastery in Tourism Management through CVF model
The CVF framework is useful in analyzing the competency level of the individuals
working in organizations. This is a strategic management tool which is useful in guiding the
managers in dealing with maintaining motivation for themselves as well for the other members
present at their workplace. It seems that the human relations and the internal process model
quadrant are best quadrants which help and guide managers in dealing with motivation for the
others in the workplace. In the context of the human relations model quadrant, the managers
need to be gathering and managing the important information required for making the managers
to be dealing with motivation for the young and vibrant individuals working in tourism and
hospitality sector (Martins et al. 2015). The managers need to have excellent communication
skills and high stability and control over the activities they perform for motivating the others
within the tourism sector. In the context of the internal process model, the managers play the role
of a monitor and coordinator which helps them to deal with maintaining motivation for
themselves and others (YouTube. 2018). The managers motivate by controlling and observing
the activities performed by the employees within the sector. The managers need to understand
the expectation and demands of the others at workplace. The managers should communicate well
and provide useful information. This should be applied personally to attain mastery in
management.

Understanding the external environment for tourism and hospitality manager
The modern hospitality and the tourism manager need to analyze the external
environment before providing any advice and before managing any kind of destination visit for
the tourists in any place in this world. The external environment has been placed on the external
factors which has an influence on the tourism and hospitality sector. The average number of
visits per day for the visitors, the attitudes and the behaviors of the visitors, the length of stay for
the tourists, the authorized air landings affect the mindset of the tourism and hospitality manager.
The next could be the development of the proper infrastructure, adequate planning, funding from
the government and local agencies for promoting the cultural heritage and tourism in any
particular area (Buhalis and Amaranggana 2015). The safety and the security of the tourists
visiting in an place for example, tourist visit in India, where there is huge problem of security
took place due to terrorism activities taken place. The tourism manager should be controlling the
media activities and so that negative publicity of any tourist spot should not be there which affect
tourism (YouTube. 2018). The modern tourist and hospitality manager should also be trying to
develop sustainable tourism which needs to have effective and efficient usage of resources for
the extension of economic and social benefits for the tourists.
