INTRODUCTION
Employability skills is the specific task or process that helps individual to full fill
professional career. Such as communication skill is the main skill required in a job to make clear
thoughts and goals. Teamwork is crucial among workers to accomplish the company standards.
In other words individual person is responsible to their own roles responsibility to handle the
uncertain situation in the company. For that, positive relationship between other members has to
be needed to maintained the team performance. Present study will be based on employability
skills for which report will be taking Travelodge company which is the most popular hotel in
UK, it is the second largest budget hotel in hospitality sector. Further study will be explaining the
role of team or development strategies to meet company standards.
TASK 1
1.1 Developing a set of own responsibility and performance objectives
Assistant manager generally responsible for making schedule for employee, arranging
training for new fresh employees and recruit new employees as well within the company.
Personal responsibilities
Direct and indirect relationship : Being as a Assistant manager at Travelodge, it is my
responsibility to keep maintained good relationship with employees, subordinates, senior etc. it
can help me to sustain and preserve effective work culture within the organisation. It makes
connections with different people for future betterment (Akkermans and Van Oorschot, 2018).
Adaptability : Being as a Assistant manager, it is my responsibility to adopt changes or
any other sudden happening within the company at certain events. Adaptability helps to
coordinate my team in an more appropriate manner. Adaptability is the skill that should be
possess in every manager.
Decision making processes : As a Assistant manager in Travelodge, I need to make
several decision for day to day activity to ensure short term goals, managing customer service
etc. I am also responsible to make decision to make plans, organise, leading staff or control the
other activities as well

work. Such as, I analysed that I am good in decision making process which is very much
essential in Assistant manager to handle uncertain situation. Another strength of my is I am good
at adaptability, I can easily adopt new changes according to new trend in the market. Through I
got new opportunity for my company to get customer attraction and profit revenue.
I found my weaknesses from the above mentioned skills or performance objectives. That,
I am weak at time management skill, that I need to learn. Another weakness of my is lack of
knowledge regarding employment legislations and ethical rights which degrade my learning and
knowledge skills (Forsyth, 2018). I need to develop my time management skill so that I can take
care of my employees health care safety needs.
Therefore, I after completing all result and objectives, I need to adopt some evaluation
techniques in order to meet out the set performance objectives. For that I need to adopt
judgemental data, rating method eg ranking , paired comparison, checklist or management by
objectives.

affect the overall working situation of other employees (McDonald, Charlesworth and Graham,
2015). This is the critical situation in which manager needs to manage by applying different
techniques and problem solving methods. Travelodge has facing different issues such as
communication gap, lack of training needs, lack of time management skills, lack of productivity
among employees etc.
