The selected topic of this essay is “Us Vs Them: The Failure of Globalism”, a book
written by Ian Bremmer. This essay will analyse the key factors that divide the world into 'Us'
and Them.

“Us Vs Them: The Failure of Globalism”
In this increasing polarized world, divisions are not only growing between countries but it
is growing within them (Our Us Vs Them World 5 Reasons Why Globalism Is Failing, 2019).
The main argument of Bremmer's Book is that globalism has left increasingly In this Us Vs
Them world there are five key factors that divide world;
Economics- This is a major reason that is responsible for dividing the world. It had been
seen that since 1980 the world economy is increasing by 700% that escape people from poverty.
The best way of sustainable economic growth worldwide is Free trade.
Society and Culture- Labour of US are struggling with their live, status due to cheap
labour. Donald trump understand the situation of the country better from other political
competitors and they promise to protect the interest against despite (Bremmer, 2018).
Security- With division of countries, Cultural divides is also major issue in the country.
Leader of the country need to be ready for use their power to implement the compromises for a
better stability.
Technology and Automation- the advancement in technology is growing worldwide so fast. It
is expected that Artificial Intelligence will provide 400 to 800 million jobs by 2030. This job
combined with the growing effect of global climate change will result in larger migration flow.
There are some suggestion that Ian Bremmer offers are; enhance workers re-training
program, improving education policy, restricting taxes, etc.
CONCLUSION
From the essay it had been seen that Donald Trump is a great leader and they focus on Us
Vs Them. Many factors had been found that divide the world.
