INTRODUCTION
Leaders play an effective and essential role in the success of business success as they
influence a large number of workers towards a direction for fulfilling the set objectives. It is
important and necessary for the leader to change his working approach and style as the situation
changes (Winn, 2013). This report is based on the topic “working with and leading people”.
Purple Mail company is one of the biggest courier firms in United Kingdom which is chosen in
this study. Currently, PMC is facing different issues related to work and so, effective solutions to
those issues will be described in this file. Various essentials documents needed during
recruitment and selection process will also be mentioned here. Way in which several ethical and
legal legislation affect the recruitment process as well as skills needed to play the role of a leader
would be studied in this report. Further, different advantages of working in a team by which one
can motivate employees for attaining the set output are also discussed.

1.1 Documentation for recruiting and selecting a new staff member
Job Analysis:
CEO is the main part of the company in high position after businessman and its responsible for
all activity and functions is taking best places in Purple Mail company. As a HR manager of
mentioned company we use a new member.
Personal Qualification
DUTIES:
The responsibilities of HR manager to communicate with whole manager and to make
all managers duty.
They should improve all environment where long as well as short term goals and
objectives clearly available. Their duties generate and attracting for employees work.
Process of decision making should be specific which is based on a reality.

The selection and recruitment process is going beyond several legal and statutory rules
implication. When the HR manager of Purple Mail Company starts recruitment activity, he or
she should be aware of several consideration. Awareness of constitution support mentioned
business to decrease risk, interview question, job position and checking job offers etc. There are
various kinds of legislation which are stated as below: Impact of sex discriminatory act: PM Company is bound to follow this act. If many
prospects is qualified for their job specification whether the people is male & female,
cited company is bound to select and recruit him or her. It cannot discriminate in the sex
ground. Impact of equality act: Old and young citizen acquire benefits in selection and
recruitment process. If the HR manager of mentioned firm provides special privileges to
any group, it will be break and unlawful the equality regulation provision. Impact of right to employment: In this act, interview should check whether the prospects

different kinds of new members. So, the HR department selects selection panel. The

makes applicants shortlisted by using various methods of short listing like IQ test, written
exam and taking investigation by using MCQs. Interviews: Purple Mail Company uses selection and recruitment panel and takes the
interview of chosen candidates (Offstein, Morwick and Koskinen, 2010). In interview
process, they ask different questions about themselves. , education background,
experience and knowledge, etc.

I decide whole steps includes in this way and I set minimum criteria for every process. It support
in recruiting skilled prospects from different number of applicants. in the recruitment process I
will not produce efficiency and effective outputs for the industry. I has much knowledge
regarding the description and specification of job that's why they support in recruiting skilled
candidates. I am capable people, I can evacuate the prospects skills & knowledges and can
study whether the prospects is able for performing the task or not. I supports in execute different
activities in a better manner. I play an important and effective role in the all recruitment process,
so it is very needed for the for me to take best part in the recruitment process (Nkomo and
Kriek, 2011).
In this assignment I take the different documents and preparing the selection and recruitment
process of the workers in the HR department. I am give the different communication channel to
candidates like promotion and advertisement etc. I play the better role for recruitment and

Leaders play an effective and essential role in executing all activities of organisation and
contribute a lot in the growth and success of business. There are various qualities and skills that
should be there in a leader like: Communication: Effective skill of communication is one of the essential qualities which
should be there in an individual to become a leader. It supports manager to communicate
with the workers related to all objectives and tasks so that set targets and goals can be
attained by the firm in a better manner. UAs per this skill, all responsibilities and roles of
workers get clear as well as misunderstanding from their minds is removed. Motivation: The main role of a leader is to give motivation to employees. It is very
important as motivated workers perform better in an organisation (Morgan, Paucar-
Caceres and Wright, 2014). Purple Mail Company’s leader should have this ability to
influence employees and motivate them to execute well. Responsibilities: In this way, leader should be liable to fulfil the task and activity as
assigned to him. A company’s leader should be capable and responsible for the business
success and their output which is arise from the assigned task to him.
Positivity: It is one of the essential and necessary abilities which should be there in a
manager. It not only maximises employee’s productivity but at the same time, it supports
in generating positive working environment in the organisation.

utilization and reduces the cost of business operations. Team produces and contributes effective
output for the organisation. So, manager of Purple Mail company should try to improve effective
group so that better output can be created by the industry.
