It is very crucial for writers to know their strength and weaknesses. It helps in improving their
work further by using their strength to become different in approach and understanding weakness
help in overcoming problems.
I think as a general writer I have clear understanding of subject matter and ability to present it
clearly. I have clear knowledge about different types of writings such as essay, analytical essays,
business reports, business plan, and dissertation. Self-analysis is conducted prior writing any
assignment. A thorough market research helps in collecting huge secondary data and has clear
understanding on topic. I also try to write to the point essays and reports in coherent manner
without unnecessary exaggeration on topic. I try to make my work interesting by adding
pictures, graphs with explanation, as it helps in keeping readers engrossed. In business writing
graphs help in quick understanding with fewer words and also present factual information. In the
past I have written different type of essays, business plans and reports that helped me in
understanding different writing patterns, formats and presentation style.
However, I do encounter several problems as a writer; it includes deviation in between long
reports. Several times I have noticed, too many topics are covered in one report, which can be
written separately. Therefore, I fail to organize my writings properly. There is lack of proper
topic transition in my work. I am working towards, improving my writing skills further.
