After going through the discussion post, it can be stated that X rays have various types
of mechanical issues that come with the positioning system associated with the arms of the
unit. Various issues with software crashes, issues associated with the latest firmware and
crashes of the operating system has been found to be responsible with the X-ray system.
Issues with patient information transfer over the correct network via IT departments have
been found to be involved in troubleshooting1. BMET, as the first responder of unknown X-
ray issue, must identify the actual issue with the failure of the X-ray equipment. First, any
external issues associated with the equipment is to be identified. These issues include wears
and tears including short circuits within the X-ray engine. Then, internal issues associated
with software errors is to be identified. The software issues include software issues, internal
crashes due to the latest firmware and operating system crashes2. According to the discussion
post, it should also be checked whether the X-ray machine is getting enough power supply to
run the equipment. All the major issues that need to be checked for understanding the cause
of the dysfunction of the X-ray machine were properly discussed in the discussion post. After
going through the discussion post, one can easily understand that what he or she should do in
place of BMET when placed in a similar situation.
