Introduction:
This study focuses on the research to the professional values in community service
work in Australia. The community services sector provides human services to the people
related with various challenges like the old aged people, people with various disabilities and
also provides services related to child protection and youth justice services. The later part of
this paper will briefly discuss about the main domains of human services all around the
country, the concept of social justices, the facing of social barriers by the people in the
community services sector in places and will form theoretical approaches understanding the
professional community service works.
Discussion:
The community services sector provides support and services to the individual, family
or group of people to sustain and maximise the nurturing possibilities regarding their
potential by enhancing the wellbeing of communities (Aggar et al., 2018). Though
community services are mainly related to develop the conditions of the individuals to provide
them services of institutional levels. The services related to this sector are mainly provided by
the government of Australia or the non - profit organizations in order to contribute in the
development of the community infrastructure of the country (Griffiths, 2016).
The Main Domains of Social Services:
There are some main domains of social and human services in the community
services sector, they are as follows –
Society Domain – The community services consists of many domain services related to
people from larger society. The community service practitioner needs to be located to the
services providing to the society. The services needs to be effective for the people to manage

involvement between communities and the proper use of the institutional values and believes
are needed to be provided by the social workers (Aggar et al., 2018).
Community Domain – The human services social workers are needed to be aware of the
differences between communities that are being served with the services. The different
communities consists of different culture perspectives, thus the fundamental dimension of the
social services are to be provided with an overall health and well - being concerns of the
people from several communities (Briskman, 2016). Thus the practitioners are needed to be
well aware of the community and culture differences of the people they are serving within
having and forming a deep relationship with the human beings.
Geographical Domain – The social services practitioners are needed to be well aware of the
facts related to the geographical differences of the people of different regions. The relation in
between the people belonging from different regions consist different cultural backgrounds as
well as various point of views related to their gender, age, culture, race, life experiences,
beliefs, life cycle, personalities and relationships in between them. That factors do have an
effect in the processes of human services generated for the people with several challenges to
solve them and helps to socialize them in the bigger community sectors (Griffiths, 2016).
Practice Field Domain – The social services includes many field areas to cover, in order to
provide services to the people in need. Thus the services areas are included in various sectors
related to human development regarding the child protection, disability, family support,
mental health, domestic violence, community development, old aged care and migrant
support and refugee privileges as well as the services against sexual assault of poor human
beings (Alam & Imran, 2015). The practice field domain is put forward to help the
