Advanced Search with Keywords and Operators
Keyword and Advanced Search: Conduct a search of article databases on the Library Search
page using different arrangements of keywords form the Workshop 2 Worksheet.
1. Go to the Conestoga College Library search page.
2. From the Workshop 2 Worksheet, use Part F, Creating Search Statements, and any
feedback you received, to construct your Search Statements for your search.
3. Click on Advanced Search and select
 Under Limit your results select these 2 items
o Peer Reviewed Journals Only
o Articles

Filling Out the Research Log:
1. Record of all the searches you conduct in the Research Log below
2. Indicate the Search Statements (including words and Operators) you used with each
search.
Note: You can use the suggestions that popup when entering keywords, if they are
applicable.
3. Record the number of relevant articles in the first 10 results for each search and copy
the APA Citation for each relevant article.
Notes:
o Only enter an article once in the Research Log. Do not enter the same article
multiple times from different searches.
o You can email to yourself the articles that may have useful information for
your report.
