Purpose of the Study
1. The researcher conducted this study to explore the communication of the nurses
and the literacy of the health of the patient.
2. The problem is significant for the nurses because communication is an important
part of the nursing strategies for providing the patients with quality of care.
Research Question and Hypothesis
1. The research question for this study includes the fact that communication is an
important part of the nursing care and it can help the cancer patients to recover at a faster
rate.
2. The question for the study is “whether communication of nurses can improve health
of the patients or not”
3. The nurses with effective and better communicative strategies can help to improve
the health of the cancer patients
4. The hypothesis is that the improvement of nursing communication strategy can
help in the improvement of the health of the cancer patients.
Literature Review
1. The literature review is carried out by the help of the peer reviewed articles and the
articles from other relevant sources. Thus, the quality of the literature review is better.
2. All the references used by the author is not up-to-date. The references used by the
author is from 2000 to the present year. The references are based on the primary sources.

1. The study participants were the nurses.

Results
1. The major findings of the study show that the nurses who have less experience and
less qualification have difficulty in communicating with the patients. The decreased
communication with the patients hampers the health of the patients.
2. The results cannot be generalized by the researchers as the research was based on
the oncology nurses and the findings might vary in the other health settings.
3. Yes, the researchers have highlighted the limitations of the study.
4. As the nurses are the primary advocates for the patients and thus there is a need for
providing the nurses with the required skill can help in the improvement of the patient health.
